Path and Pea woke up the next morning and prepared to leave. Khari saw them packing up a few of their things into small bags. He walked up to them. "Going somewhere Path?" He asked them concerned. Path smiled at him and she nodded her head. "We going to the dark world to look for help and alliances. Now that you and Nile have decided to love each other the Guardians will stop at nothing to come after you. We also need an army of our own to kill Jahzara once and for all." She explained to him and he just sighed. "You have thought about it that far huh?" He asked her as he pat her on the shoulder. "I really can't stop you from leaving. But I also have to tell you it is going to be hard for anyone to follow the fallen Guardian." Khari told Path. "You have no idea how much supernatural creatures yearn for freedom, they will take it in whatever way it comes." She told him. Path smiled at Khari and waved him goodbye. "Take care of yourself and Nile whilst we are gone. The Guardians are probably going to hunt Nile down even more now." Pea told Nile as she hugged him tight. She knew he wasn't much of a hugger but she still hugged him anyway. Khari slowly put his hands on her back hugging her back which made her hug him even tighter. He smiled as he tried hard not to choke from the strong hug. Path just smiled and pulled Pea away from him. They began walking out of the yard. "Nile is surely changing him, he wasn't a hugger you know. Nor did he ever smile." Pea told her sister cheerfully. The two of them walked away leaving Khari standing in the middle of the yard.
Khari went back inside the house. He looked around the kitchen and he wanted to make food for Nile. He had never cooked anything before nor had he ever made a fire without his magic. He took a few vegetables and put them in a dish trying to recall everything he saw Nile do. He took eggs and also put them aside. He then stood there thinking hard. Nile had woken up and he walked with his hands on his head from the headache he was suffering from. He walked into the kitchen and saw Khari looking at the different vegies he had put aside. Nile walked behind Khari and slid his hands from behind his waist holding him. "Good morning Khari. Are you cooking?" He asked him as he kissed him on the back of his neck. Khari put both his hands on Nile's and nodded. "Hmm." He just said and Nile smiled. He kissed him more behind his neck and Khari took his hands off his waist, turning to face him. He put his hands around Nile's waist and Nile put his around Khari's. "I missed you Khari. I really did miss you." Nile told Khari staring into his eyes. Khari kissed his forehead gently. "I know, I missed you too. I am sorry I hurt you." Khari apologized to him. Nile kissed Khari on his lips gently and touched them with his hand. Khari hugged him. "I don't know how to cook though." He whispered in Nile's ears and Nile giggled as he buried his head on Khari's shoulder. "I know, let me cook for us." He told him. "Let me help you." Khari insisted and Nile nodded his head. The two of them began cooking together. Khari helped wash the vegetables for Nile whilst Nile did the cooking. They sat down at a table and began eating their breakfast. Khari looked around the house. "Your house is quite big for someone who lives alone." He commented. Nile looked around and nodded. "I used to stay here with my parents and sister. My parents were scholars. They used to travel a lot and they built this house for us. Until one day they were caught in the middle of the clash between the dark world and the patrols from the Guardians." He told Khari and paused. Khari held his hand comforting him. "I watched my parents get killed that night and I was left alone. They didn't even try to check if the humans caught between their fight were alive." He went on to tell Khari. Khari understood why Nile had never been a fan of the Guardians, he just squeezed his hand and looked at him. "But now this house is not that lonely anymore, I have you and the girls." He told Khari smiling at him. He referred to Pea and Path as his girls and this always had Khari wondering why he kept referring to those old serpents like they were his young sisters.
Imani was in the valley when the flower began to sprout green leaves. She folded her arms on her chest as she looked at the Iris flower. She was worried and couldn't stop biting her lips. Eshu and Zahari walked over to the queen and bowed their heads. The queen acknowledge them. "It looks like the iris flower has some budding leaves already! I can't seem to stop this stupid love affair!" The queen complained harshly to the two priestesses. "I think I might have a solution to this problem." Bloomy interrupted them from behind. She bowed her head to them and they bowed back. "I think we need to break Khari. We take everything he cares dearly for and we break him until he turns his heart stone again." She suggested. "What if we create another monster? We do not want another Jahzara roaming this world!" Zahari reminded them. Imani looked at the flower. "I do not think Khari is evil he is just cold. And I want him to go back there." She told the priestesses. "But if you do break him there is no telling what he will do. Khari is powerful he contains fire, water and serpent magic. We do not want to deal with it." Zahari warned them again. "Then we make a plan to contain him, we break him until he has no will to fight!" Imani told them. She had no compassion for her brother. "But your highness…" Zahari tried to explain but she was cut off by Imani. "I have a duty to carry out towards the three realms Zahari. I can't afford to feel pity for Khari or be undecided. It is final, we take everything he holds dear away from him!" Imani commanded as she walked away from the flower. Zahari looked at Eshu but the other priestess did not dare say a thing. "You can not fight fate Zahari. It was always meant to be this way." Bloomy told her and she just sighed. Zahari was not on board with this plan but she could do nothing but obey her queen. Imani got to the palace and Adara was waiting for her at the entrance. She bowed her head when she saw her queen. "Ready your girls, Adara, we are going to see what my brother and his little family have been up to." She commanded her. Adara bowed her head and left to ready her guards. They all left and went to the humans' world to spy on Khari.
Khari and Nile sat outside in the sun. Nile leaned on Khari's chest and Khari had his arm around him. They were talking and giggling outside. Nile sat up straight and looked at Khari. "Teach me how to fight Khari." He asked him. Khari looked at Nile confused. His face was almost emotionless but Nile understood him very well to know his expressions. "I do not want to be a burden to you and the girls. I also want to fight." He explained to Khari. Khari took his hands in his. "But I cant protect you, I can fight for the both of us." He explained to him and Nile sat even closer to him. "I know you can but I too want to protect you Khari. So please teach me how to fight." He begged him. Khari could never say no to him so he nodded his head. "I will teach you to fight but you promise me that you will never put your life at risk for me or for the serpents." He said to Nile who was hesitant to reply but he knew if he refused Khari wouldn't teach him how to fight. So he nodded his head. "I promise you with all my heart and soul." He said as he kissed Khari on the lips. Khari smiled and Nile pulled him up. "Let us start now, do I need to get a sword?" Nile asked Khari excited. Khari laughed and took his hand. "Not yet Nile for now you need to learn the basics with no sword just a stick." He told him as he made one with his magic. He handed the swordlike stick to Nile and he stood right behind him teaching him how to stand ready for hi first leasson. Khari took Nile's hands and helped him hold the fake sword properly, he helped him swing it swiftly with his hands and moved his body from behind him. The Guardians had arrived and were watching them from afar. Imani looked at this annoyed. Khari took Nile's hands and he taught him how to move his sword and also to strike. Nile was smiling this whole time and he couldn't help but smell Khari's rose like body scent. He moved his body as Khari taught him and he allowed him to dictate all his steps. "You need to feel the sword. It has to be a part of you Nile. The sword is an extension of your body so allow it to move with you." Nile paid attention to everything Khari was doing and telling him.
Adara watched Khari and Nile move together. Since her encounter with Pea she had not stopped asking herself so many questions. She had been moved and disturbed by her so much she couldn't shake it off. She watched Khari and Nile together and she began smiling without knowing. "If their love story wasn't so destructive to the world, it is so beautiful." One of the guards commented to herself as she watched them. Adara looked at her and didn't comment. The Guardians didn't experience this type of love, it was duty from the moment they were born. Marriages were arranged to keep people's roles in the kingdom secured. Warriors married warriors, servants married servants, the royals also maintained that. Seeing this kind of love was a whole experience for them. They watched the two of them practicing together and hearing the giggles really touched their hearts. Imani looked at her brother and a tiny part of her was moved but she couldn't allow her emotions to sway her. "I do not see the serpents, where are they?" She asked her guards. "They left early this morning your highness." One of the guards replied. "And they haven't returned to Khari's side yet?" She asked confused. The serpents had proven to be really overprotective of both Khari and Nile so it was confusing how they had jus left them alone all day. "Something is up. We need to find them." Imani ordered her guards as she walked away from the scenery.
Khari and Nile continued practicing together and Nile couldn't stop teasing Khari in between. He put his head on Khari's chest as they practiced. "This is not what we agreed on Nile." Khari warned him but Nile turned and faced Khari dropping the wooden sword. He out his hands around Khari's neck and stood on his toes. Nile kissed Khari softly on the lips and stopped. Khari was blushing form the kiss and this made Nile smile so hard. "Why is the mighty Khari shy?" Nile asked him and he just smiled at him. "We are supposed to be learning to fight aren't we?" He aske him gently and Nile hugged hm tighter. "Oh yes we are but you smelling so good that I can not resist." Nile flirted with Khari. Khari put his hand around Nile, pulled him closer and kissed him on his neck. Nile closed his eyes as he felt the soft lips of Khari on his neck. "Don't say I didn't warn you." Khari whispered in Nile's ear. Nile smiled and he kissed Khari hard on the lips. He kissed him so hard Khari almost suffocated but he held on to him tighter. The Guardians watching this all looked at each other as this scene was quite new to all of them. Adara just smiled as she looked away from afar. Nile began opening Khari's red shirt and put his hand on his bare chest. Khari stopped his hand and pulled back just leaving his head closer to Nile's head. "You want to do this here?" He asked him and Nile just kissed him back. Khar carried Nile in his arms and Nile wrapped his arms around Khari's neck. He began kissing him again as Khari walked inside the house carrying him. He carried him to the bed and put him on it. Nile didn't stop kissing Khari as he took his shirt off. Khari took Nile's head, held it and kissed him gently back as he caressed his body. He helped him take of his clothes and they were both naked on the bed. The two of them rolled over the bed kissing each other and touching each other. Nile sat on top of Khari and he touched his bare chest. "I love you Khari." He told him and quickly kissed him so he wouldn't say anything. Khari touched Nile's face and kissed him back so hard. His heart beat so fast from both the words and Nile's touch. It was as if his heart was about to burst. He kissed him hard and didn't want to let got. Nile reached his hand to Khari's male organ and held it in his hand. Khari moaned with pleasure and Nile kissed him. Khari held on to Nile's back with both his hands and Nile dug his hand in to Khari's hair.
"Don't let me go Khari." Nile whispered in Khari's ear. Khari kissed him hard and replied. "I will never let you go." He wanted to kiss him and hold him all night but as soon as he finished replying he felt that sharp pain in his heart again. He screamed in pain as he pushed Nile off him as he fell from the bed. Nile rushed to him and Khari held on his left side of his chest groaning in pain. He screamed so loud and Nile just went and held him tight. Khari was sweating from the pain and he kept on screaming as it continued. His eyes were red with pain and he began to have ice swell up from his hands. Khari held on to the floor and the whole floor was full of ice. Nile who was still holding him was freezing so Khari pushed him away from him and staggered out of the room to the next one. He slammed the door and locked it with his powers so Nile wouldn't follow him. Nile rushed to the door naked and began knocking on it. "Khari open this door! You need to open the door for me please!" He begged him but all Khari did was cry in pain. He crawled naked on the floor to the door and he couldn't control his powers. The ice kept spreading in the house and it began to snow outside. He forced himself to crawl outside so he would freeze the house and harm Nile. He managed to get on the ground and the ice began to spread on the ground, the snow became worse and he groaned in pain. Adara and the other Guardians saw the snow. Imani walked over to Adara and they both saw Khari groaning in pain on the ground. "What is wrong with him? He looks like he is in pain and he can not control his powers." Imani explained to Adara. She watched confused. "He will freeze the whole area if he carries on like this." She said. It was as if she was worried but she didn't want to show it. Khari carried on crawling naked on the ground. Nile heard Khari in pain outside so he put on his clothes, opened a window, grabbed a sheet and jumped out through the window. He landed on the frozen ground but he still ran to Khari. He quickly got on his knees and covered Khari with the sheet. "No, go back inside you will freeze." Khari told Nile in pain. Nile refused and he held Khari in his arms, wrapping the sheet around him. Imani watched them and she didn't even move. "Nile please, go back." Khari begged him but Nile held him tighter. Khari listened to Nile's heartbeat. He began to calm down and the pain went away. He closed his eyes and tears streamed down his cheeks. His phoenix energy began to fire up his body and the ice on the ground began to melt. The snow stopped and he put both his arms round Nile's waist, Nile held him tighter and felt the warmth of his body on his. "Are you alright now? Please be okay Khari." Nile begged Khari. Khari held on tighter to his waist and buried his head in his abdomen. "Are you okay too?" He asked him in tears and Nile just held him tighter on the ground. The two of them stayed like that for a while. Imani didn't like how deeply connected they looked. "Find me the serpents! Please make sure Nile is taken care of, I will not let this carry on!" She commanded her guards and they all obeyed her order.
