The prologue

CHAPTER 1.

Liana closed her eyes and opened. I couldn't believe that the person in front of me was the one I really knew.

"Be careful. If you see a sign of danger, you should run away immediately."

The knight who brought her said as if warning. Liana, holding her hands tightly, moved forward cautiously. The prison was on the edge of a steep cliff. So that he can be pushed right over the cliff at any time if he goes wild. So that the damage can be minimized. The end of a dizzying cliff at the top of a mountain. He was locked in a thick metal cage with his limbs shackled. The second prince, Ilyd Orpheus cardogan, whom the entire empire hated and loved, and the maid named Liana had a crush on.

I didn't expect to meet you again like this. Liana looked ahead with mixed feelings. His usual high spirits were gone, and he was hanging out like a corpse, losing his light. It was too shabby for a mannish who inherited God's power. Is it obvious. Since there is no Aradna.

Mannish, who was closer to a god than a human, definitely needed Aradna as a companion. Aradna was the greatest curse and blessing that God gave him. But there's no way she can't be that Aradna. With an almost certain guess, Liana stood in front of the cage iron bars. She also one of many Aradna candidates. She already knew that she couldn't be special to him.

"Nice to meet you, Your Highness the Second Prince."

Liana, who greeted politely, reached out her trembling hand.

"Even if it wasn't me. . . Your Highness will be able to find Aradna. So, don't worry."

Even though he heard her words, Ilyd stretched out like a corpse and didn't answer. While she was so nervous, Liana's white fingertips touched Ilyd's dirty cheek. It was the moment when her fingerprints touched. A blinding white light burst out from him.

"Go away! It's going crazy."

The voices of the knights echoed like hallucinations. There was a loud crash sound, like something huge collapsing. The ground trembled, and a terrible storm raged. At that time, when the storm screamed everywhere, she just realized that she was in a very calm state. It's weird. It feels like being alone in the huge typhoon, but free from all danger. Liana, who opened her eyes thinly, belatedly realized why. She was being held so deary in someone arms.

"Liana."

In the white light, she saw the dark shape of a man holding her. Liana squinted her eyes, which she had not yet adapted and looked up. In the blur view, Ilyd was seen breaking the shackles on his neck like a toy.

"Why did you come so late."

He rubbed his face against Liana's neck as if he were grumbling. The moment her body reflexively flinched from the hot breath, Ilyd hugged Liana even tighter, as if he wasn't allowing any space.

"I . . . almost killed them all."

What are you talking about. Ilyd caressed Liana's cheek who couldn't understand the situation, as if touching something fragile with a hand that still couldn't control its strength.

"Never, leave me alone again."

Ilyd turned Lisna's face to look directly at him. The face of a frightened woman appeared in his blue eyes, and it was impossible to guess what emotions were contained within. Ilyd smiled when he saw her. It was the beginning of an obsession.

***

"Lady Aradna. You can come this way."

Liana took a shaky step forward. Her eyes were covered by a thin lace veil and delicately woven as a spider's web. The white hands on the maids' arms trembled slightly. The slippers made by pure white sable fur are soft and charmingly warm. However, the owner who wears it didn't have time to feel the texture. Her mind was filled with thoughts about that person. At the end of that thought, she couldn't even tell herself whether she was feeling pleasant or fear because She couldn't believe it. After a while, the maids stopped somewhere. Liana unknowingly grabbed the maids' arms without realizing it. The old maid's nervous voice echoed in the dark hallway.

"Your Highness. Lady Aradna has arrived."

"Let her in."

When the similar voice allowed it, the door of the room opened slowly. The wind blowing inside shook the thin nightdress she wore. After she entered the room, the door behind her closed. She comforted herself by squeezing her shaking hands.

'It's all right. Just do as you've learned. It's not that scary. . . . . '

However, she couldn't even make up her mind properly. Then, the moment she lifted her nervous eyes, she found herself facing with a pair of deeply dark blue eyes. The lace over her eyes, which was made up of only one layer, failed to block the blatant gaze. She wonder how long he been watching her. His eyes remained fixed on Liana, as if he could see through the thin fabric. His eyes moved from her face to her chest, from her chest to her waist, from her waist down, and then up again.

"Come closer."

She rather he gave a command than being silent like before. Liana's small feet shifted hesitantly. Through the lace, she could see the blur Ilyd sitting relaxed with his long legs crossed and slowly tilted the wine bottle. Perhaps because of her vision was blurry, she could hear the sound of the wine glass being filled very clearly.

"Do you know how to drink?"

"A little bit. . . ."

"Then drink this."

She can't say no. The red liquid in the glass moves along with Liana's trembling hands. every time she emptied her glass, he filled it again and again. His gaze remained fixed on her face as if to express his emotion. Is it because of the eyes that make it difficult to tell what emotions they contain? Or is it because she feel like she being force to drink the wine? I started to feel increasingly dizzy.

"Oh!"

In the end, Liana ended up slipping the bottle she was holding. The deep wine soaked her nightdress on the chest and spread red. It was when the thin cloth, which had been wet, fell down with a sticky sound. Ilyd's hot eyes met with Liana bloodshot eyes.

"Ouch!"

Her body flashed up in an instant. The man who lifted Liana lightly kicked his tongue.

"You're so skinny."

He could feel his flesh, it's hard and hot against the thin fabric. She can't understand what is happening now. She could only faintly see the red wine from the fallen bottle soaking the white carpet. The flickering light touched Liana back, who was staring at the table that was getting further away from her sight. Her shoulder straps fell off as she was laid onto the bed in a rather rough motion. The dress that made especially for the first night tear easily, as if they were made it with the purpose for being quickly removed. When he saw that a slight smirk appeared in the corner of Ilyd lips, who was pretending to be so calm earlier. His hard, calloused hands began moving hastily over my thighs. Only then Liana come to her senses and startled.

"You-Your Highness, now, wait. . . ."

"Name."

Liana shuddered as she felt a hot breath in her ear.

"Call my name."

With those words, his hands continued to slip into dangerous places. His lips touched my collarbone, whispering in a sweet, low tone. She shuddered at the strange sensations she never felt before. She felt like she was discovering the parts of her body that she didn't even know its exis.

"Don't cover your face."

Unable to endure the persistent gaze following her as if searching for something, Liana covered her face and was immediately reprimanded.

"Ha, but. . . . "

"Take your hands off,"

Even though he hugged her with tears in her eyes, he shamelessly took off the last of her clothes and held her trembling hand tightly. Her whole body was gripped by him, followed by a dry kiss that seemed to take her breath away. His body smelled same scent as her, but his flesh, which smelled of sweet roses, was not as soft as her scent. Her breathing became difficult, and she was short of breath. She can't think straight. She still can't believe this situation is happening. It was like a dream to her. Liana felt like she was floating away. Her blindfold hasn't yet been removed. Instead of the lace that covered her eyes, only her dress was taken off and slipped down as if pleased to achieve its original purpose. Even though she was struggling with pain that she couldn't help even with alcohol, he asked her to keep calling his name.

"Liana. . . . "

The eyes that followed her with obsession seemed to be trying to memorize the woman's panting body. His behavior became increasingly rough. She was swept away by it. The blindfold that seemed to be the last barrier between her and him finally fell to the floor. The man's blue eyes meet with Liana's blurred vision. His dangerously blue eyes were overflowing with unrefined lust. The moment our eyes met, the man hurriedly pushed his body forward as if he was joking. Liana's eyelashes began to tremble patheticly. Behind her wet eyelashes, she began to replay the beginning of all this. The memory of that day seems so distant.
