Bored of staying at home ,Leonard decided to take a walk in the forest.It was another excise just to get away from all the women that were coming to their home everyday to try n put in a good word about their daughters hoping that he would chose them.If only they knew his heart was already stolen by a clumsy little squirrel from the first time he laid his eyes on her,years ago before he left,he had once seen her from afar coming to church but he never got the chance to talk to her.He smiled thinking about it.
This was his favorite place in this whole village,the silence and calmness in these woods,the only sound was coming from the river flowing nearby.He decided to go check out the river n maybe take a quick dip before it got cold,he was almost there when he landed into the most beautiful scene ever,for a moment he forgot to breathe. Before him was the one girl that had recently taken over his thoughts,she sat on a rock in the middle of the river,her skirt was lifted up to her thighs so as not to get wet exposing her beautiful legs.She was lost in her own world enjoying the waters that she didn't even notice someone else was watching her,a small smile on her face making the dimples more prominent.Leonard took in every detail of her face ,how she smiled ,her face, black hair braided in two lines that fell on her back.She kept splashing water on other rocks and on her legs.
When he cleared his throat to announce his presence Sabine was surprised and in the moment of shock she lost her balance under the slippery rocks as she was trying to stand up and ended up falling into the waters and getting soaked.
Leonard couldn't help but laugh at her,he took his shoes off before walking up to where she was as she seemed to be struggling with her now heavy soaked clothes.Leonard carried her and put her on dry ground, while she had not made a single word of protest.
"Not even a thank you?" he asked staring at her
"Are you stalking me?"Sabine asked staring into his eyes
Leonard chuckled,
'this is interesting' he thought while on the other hand Sabine was dying of embarrassment, this is the same weirdo she had bumped into in school.
"Don't you know it's rude to spy on a girl like that, what if someday saw you sir?"
"Seems like you never waste any chance to embarrass yourself huh,clumsy little thing"
"Don't call me that," she glared at him
"Of course you are clumsy...and am not stalking you,this is a public area for all I know"
Sabine knew if she continued to talk with this man all she was going to get were headaches,
"Thanks for helping me"..she said quickly turning to leave the place.
"Leaving so fast?"he said blocking her path
"I need to go change my clothes,"
Sabine said trying to get past him but he kept blocking her way.
"But I'm not done talking to you clumsy"
"I already said thank you ,what else do you want,stalker?"she asked emphasizing on the last word .
"Nothing, can't I talk you or are you afraid that I'm going to pounce on you like a hungry wolf and devour you in the middle of the forest and no one is gonna hear your screams until your last breath?"
Leonard added in a low voice as he took a few steps closer to her.He smiled inwardly seeing how her expressions changed to those of fear though she tried hard to act brave.
"We have nothing to talk about...please let me go "her voice faltered but she covered it with a cough.
"Oh really,are you forgetting how you bumped into me the other day in school and almost poured my drink?"
"But none of that happened,you didn't even have a drink with you"
"Hhmm,are you sure because you quickly ran off like a scaredy kitty cat once you stood up"
Sabine didn't know what to say,in the first place she didn't even know why she was still talking to this crazy man.
"That's over now"
Leonard hummed as if he was in deep thought before he looked at her and their eyes locked,his sea blue eyes stared into her dark orbs as if searching into her soul and for a moment Sabine was lost in those ocean eyes.She had never seen such beauty too bad they belong to such an arrogant man,she looked away feeling shy having never loóked at a man's eyes like that before.
"So beautiful"he mummured still looking at her,"should I eat you here or take you with me to my den?"
"What ?"
Sabine's eyes rounded in surprise before she quickly ran off ,away from this crazy man.
Leonard chuckled softly as he watched her ran off after scaring her for his own amusement.He liked seeing the different emotions that passed on her face though she tried so hard to hide them.
"I think the city can wait a little longer" he said staring into the direction which Sabine had ran off to.
