"I just got information that he´s around this city these days. He's called Tom Bradley," he responded.
It was now Janeth´s turn to be afraid. It would have been better to face a stranger rather than that familiar-yet strange shameless man. How could she face him!
She immediately felt guilty about some things.
Walking back to the ward room, Janeth´s mind wandered about a particular night. Whatever she was thinking made her face light up with a smile. Little Tom couldn't help but ask his Mum the source of joy.
"Mummy! Did Uncle Doctor tell you a joyful story?" the small boy looked expectantly towards his mom.
Janeth was embarrassed on her own behalf due whatever thoughts had been running in her head. It was as if the little one had caught her red-handed in some heinous crime. Her face was bushing painted with a red color.
"No baby. Uncle Doctor promised to make Grandpa get recovered."
"Really?"
"Yeah. That's right baby."
The adorable looking boy turned to the old man to comfort him.
"Grandpa, Mommy will make you a big cup of porridge to make you get healed."
"…"
Janeth was left speechless. This was what she had always told the little guy to persuade him to eat whenever he was sick. But nonetheless, he could give the old man a smile in his state.
Now the question was how she would contact Tom Bradley for treatment. Not actually contacting…but rather facing him was the exact word. Contacting him was a lot easier. Who would believe that she even didn't have the contact numbers for the father of her kid? Who would even guess that the father of her kid was the number one specialist surgeon and CEO of a listed company at his age? It looked rather an irony in its own state.
