"Finally, I am back in the academy. It was torture being back home. Everyone looked depressed and disappointed in how things were going. I am so glad to be out of that atmosphere finally. Hey, what is wrong with you both? Why are you looking so gloomy?"
Rose turned toward her two friends, who looked lost in their thoughts.
It was a daily occurrence for Edward, but not having Rodric's attention was new for her. And it was distracting her from focusing on her problem.
"Hey Rodric, this is not fair. Are you lost in your problem while I pour my heart out? You need to pay attention to me."
Rose knocked Rodric on the back, and he growled in protest. It had been an unconscious action, and Rodric stopped as soon as he started. But this sudden action left the trio surprised.
"Did you just…growl at me? Rodric, is everything alright? You have never growled at me before like this. Did I annoy you or something?"
