It was calm around Rachael.
She did not want to wake up even if her body was in pain.
The water still burned and made Rachael's soul ache, but it was no longer the same searing pain.
Rachael was learning to accept this water and the power as hers. It felt…calmer for her to think that this was her end.
'I don't want to go back. This place is peaceful, and no one can hurt me here. I like being here as well.'
Rachael extended her hands out and allowed her body to relax.
The darkness was her friend, covering her body to prevent it from being discovered by someone else.
The peaceful place broke its balance when the surface of the darkness peeled open, and someone else dropped inside.
Rachael pressed harder against the cold water so this new entry would not see her.
"Hiding is futile, Rachael. Now, come out so that we can go back home. People are waiting for you there."
