Ardella quickened her pace as her heart skipped a few beats in fear. She quickly ran toward the room where she had left Hubert with the guards.
"Lady Duchess, what's wrong?"
The guard looked a little scared when he noticed the duchess's face.
Worried green eyes looked at the guard, but the guard misinterpreted that look as anger, and he flinched back.
The duchess did not care for the guard because she focused on entering the room.
"He's not here? Hubert is not here. Where the hell is my child?"
The guard was still coming up with terms with being an aid, so he could not stop himself from raising his hand and protecting his face.
"Duchess, please don't hurt me."
The guard asked, only to feel no one else around him.
His feet gave out, and he felt his body slide down the wall.
