The sound of the gunshot shook the whole dungeon. It felt distant but clear enough to indicate a shooting had occurred.
But weirdly enough, the voice was heard in people's minds directly. There was no way to tell which direction this shot had taken.
"We need to hurry up. I can feel Rachael's body, and it is ice cold. I don't think she is breathing properly, either. At this rate, she might die before we can get her consciousness back."
Adrian confessed with a sinking heart. He wanted to hold Rachael in his arms and not over his shoulder. But this was the optimum way to stay alert and fight against any enemies that might emerge.
Elias remained quiet, not giving in to Adrian's words, but he was alert. Unlike Adrian, Elias had a good idea of where the gunshot had sounded since he had experience dealing with telepathy.
"Do not concentrate on the sounds you hear so much. Concentrate on your surroundings. Can you feel someone's eyes on us?"
