Adrian felt annoyed and angry at what had almost happened. He had wanted Rachael to have a good time, but he had ended up causing her death instead.
'I should stop making fun of Rose for always getting into trouble when she is with Rachael. The one who is truly trouble is Rachael herself.'
What made Adrian feel worse about himself was that this situation could have been avoided if he listened to Rachael and had not come to this establishment. Rachael had insisted that she did not want to go there.
"Adrian, are you feeling guilty because you brought Rachael here? You should not feel guilty because this is not your fault. This could have happened anytime and anywhere. You were lucky that you caught the incident before it happened."
Shuri tried to assure Adrian, and it did make him feel better. But not enough to force down the feeling of guilt he was feeling.
