Rachael ran as fast as her feet would allow her and reached the barrier of the temple. It had been breached through already and was falling apart.
The root familiar uncoiled itself from around Rachael and led her toward the temple. Thankfully, it had decided to remain quiet and unmoving until now.
The temple was destroyed already by the time Rachael reached it. Thunder struck the temple at various spots, causing it to crack and fall.
The stairs were also half-destroyed, making it impossible to climb up to the main building, and Rachael immediately began to look around for another way.

The sudden rush of sound made Rachael look up, and she noticed her familiar turning into a step-like structure.
"Thanks a lot. You should hide yourself once I reach the top. You will not be of any help, and I do not want you to fight your previous master."
