Gu Shang dropped the sword and landed on the ground.
The previous elder he had punched was still on the ground coughing out blood.
Gu Shang slowly walked towards him and squatted on the ground right beside the injured man.
"Just kill me already" The man said through gritted teeth. He had lost a lot of comrades today, it won't be too bad too join them would it?
He didn't really hate Gu Shang for committing that massacre though. In the cultivation world, it's either you eat or you are eaten.
In the past they've been the ones to bully others because they were the stronger ones, but now it was their turn.
He closed his eyes expecting a quick death.
Gu Shang shook his head, "I'm not going to kill you.
You are going to be messenger to the Moonshade Sect.
Gather the cops and remains of your brothers and go back to the Moonshade Sect and tell your leader that, by sunrise tomorrow, the Moonshade sect should come to the imperial court and renew their oath of allegence to the imperial family.
If you fail to do so, then I'll assume you are admitting to being rebels and are planning a revolt against the current dynasty.
If that becomes the case, then I'll have to personally destroy them myself" Gu Shang said coldly.
The injured elder spit out blood again, "Impossible, you.. you...you are bluffing!" He shouted at the top of his lungs.
Gu Shang raised his mouth slightly up into a devilish smile, "Whether am bluffing or not doesn't matter, all you have to do is to send the message''
Gu Shang took another look at him, "Besides you don't have long to live, if your message never arrives for them to take a decision and I destroy them, then you'll be a sinner of your sect for causing their destruction"
The man gathered all his strength and gathered the bodies of his comrades and their remains before weakly taking off to the sky's.
Gu Shang got up and watched the sad and lonly figure of the elder fly away, he was a defeated soldier returning from the battlefield alive and alone.
He stared at the disappearing figure before shaking his head.
"Are they going to take my warning seriously or are they going to resort to war?" He silently muttered.
"First brother" Gu Shang called out.
The First emissary rushed to Gu Shang side after being called.
"Big brother, you summoned me?"
Gu Shang nodded, "How far are the Lion Fang guards from the capital?" He asked
"They should be arriving when the sun is at its highest" The first emissary reported.
Gu Shang nodded in satisfaction, with the arrival of the Lion Fang troops, things would become more smooth.
Gu Shang went back to his study and continued what he was doing like nothing had just happened.
The mood around the manor was also calm and peaceful, in fact non of them had panicked when the elders arrived. They had all ignored them and continued what they were doing.
...
Imperial Domain was buzing in excitement.
The fight they had just witnessed was undescribable, those who blinked more than once didn't see the full fight.
The fight ended in less than three breathes time, in the space of such a short time, Gu Shang had managed to kil four quasi Immortal Kings and nine supreme sovereign of different stages.
Only one survived with a heavy injuries and might not even survive. This was the biggest loss anybody had ever seen the Moonshade Sect suffer.
The commoners all cheered and jubiliated whiles the nobles despaired.
All the nobles were dazed as the stared absentmindedly at the sky.
Their suffering wasn't over.
In the imperial palace, the emperor stood off from his throne in shock.
Gu Shang with that strength had to be an Immortal King, but the thing that shocked the experts in the capital the most was that, they still couldn't see Gu Shang's cultivation.
This was unheard of in the history of cultivation. It was simply impossible to move the heavens without showing your true strength, that's bullshit.
Whenever a cultivator gathered spiritual Qi for their attacks, a connection is formed between their spiritual root and and the heavens making them part of the the essence of the realm.
For that to happen your spiritual root must form a connection with the heavens thereby exposing your cultivation in the process of the connection, so how the fu*k was Gu Shang able to hide his cultivation from them.
As many experts were cracking their brains to figure out how Gu Shang was doing it, the emperor was thinking of something else.
"The imperial family, no longer have what it takes to control that brat" He muttered.
He didn't need no analysis to judge Gu Shang cultivation level like those so called acclaimed experts, all he needed was his common sense.
Since Gu Shang was able to crush, quasi Immortal Kings and trample on Supreme Sovereigns, then the only explanation was that he was a real bone fide immortal king.
The emperor clenched his fist, This only meant that Gu Shang didn't have any opposition in the imperial court and family.
If he were to go rouge, they'll be no one stopping him.
"You little moron what the hell does he think he's doing?" The emperor shouted in frustration.
Though not everyone heard Gu Shang conversation with the supreme elder before the fight began, the high level experts could.
So naturally, the emperor also heard since he also had so many experts around him.
"That boy wants to destroy himself and the empire along with him. Why is he trying to force a rebellion on the Moonshade Sec...
No..no..no, this is too dangerous" The emperor's mind was in a mess.
Gu Shang was literally giving a sword to the Moonshade Sect to attack the empire with.
The argument of rebellion Gu Shang used was a double edged sword, only the stronger party in this context can prevent the sword from piercing them and they clearly were the weakest side in this situation.
The emperor was fuming, one would think Gu Shang accusations of a rebellion would help them suppress the Moonshade Sect, but no,
It was rather the other way round.
Gu Shang had just given a justification for both parties.
This time till tomorrow morning was going to be crucial for the survival of the empire.
Gu Shang being an Immortal King wasn't going to change anything.
The emperor sat back on his golden dragon throne feebly.
"Grand General, What have you done?" He muttered
