Chapter 11 - Book

Did you choose a history book over a magic one?

Yes, this book is the better for me.

Are you absolutely sure?

Believe me, i'm sure of it!

Ok, if you're sure i believe you.

Thanks dad.

I still think you should have chosen a book about magic.

Mom, this book will help me more than any other normal magic book.

right, but you must qualify with at least 90 points in the academy, although regardless of the book you chose I doubt The Genius of Empire would fail a simple exam.

do not worry, I've already passed

Great, now that we've got our concerns out of the way, we'll let you study your book. I hope you find what you are looking for.

sigh, I know my parents are worried, but I can't tell them that I chose this book because it shows a path that is in line with what I studied in my past life.

What I discovered when I read the beginning of the book was that firstly it wasn't a simple magic book, it was a book written by the first wizard.

It highlights how humans began to use magic, but that wasn't what interested me, it was that in the beginning the methods used were the same as mine, with the difference being that the book has more sophisticated and advanced methods, it was like my magic version 2.0

I continued reading the book there were stories of how the first wizards created their paths, the path of a wizard was extremely important, being a wizard meant entering one's own evolutionary line, at a level where there was no problem in following what others did, but the After a certain point, it was no longer possible to move forward without creating something that was yours alone.

I found! spiritual magic.

This is the magic I need to learn.

Spiritual magic, from the name it seems to be magic with spirits, but it is totally different

Not that there isn't magic that uses spirits, but this mimics how spirits use magic.

Spirit magic typically uses spirits to use mana, but my magic mimics the way spirits use mana.

Humans use magic by channeling mana from their core outwards, spirits are the opposite, they use the mana around them to use magic, humans can store mana, unlike spirits who cannot, I can make the mana in the my core becomes a battery and if the battery runs out, I can use the mana around me, which gives me an advantage over other people.

But.

origin of magic vol 1

first volume, does that mean there are others? and how many are there? Why would a history book about the origins of magic be multiple volumes? Furthermore, despite being a history book it talks about techniques and gives instructions on them, it seems to me more like a book with old techniques than a simple history book.
