As someone once said, "ignorance is bliss" there are things we rather never knew existed as such things may affect the daily lives and norms, we have set for ourselves.
Somewhere deep in a dimension inaccessible to even the strongest of a mortal world, a meeting was taking place, if it were to be put into the words of the mortals world it would be called a grand meeting of Gods, as such beings attending the meeting had reached a stage of power that could directly manipulate the laws and rules of the universe performing feats that transcended the limit of what mortals thought were the pinnacle.
Their faces could not be viewed easily as different concepts revolved around them to block any prying eyes that may or has already tried viewing some of their secrets. Much as they would have liked to be somewhere else the hierarchy of power knew no limit, as even these beings that have attained such levels of strength could be considered bigger ants in front of the true rulers of the Universe and thus when this particular event takes place every eon, they are forced to attend such gatherings, not only to remind them of their places but also to give those few a chance to achieve a greater power despite falling into mere pawns.
"The multiverse games are about to begin". Said a being that gave out an overbearing aura much stronger than the rest. "As this is the only chance in this eon for you to enter that place and have a chance of obtaining {AUTHORITY}". Squinting his eyes as his eyes scanned all the beings around the table. "Some of you have ascended recently so you may not understand what it means to attain it but…"
Suddenly he stopped and his energy flickered as he looked at a particular direction inside the room, such movement caused all the beings inside to copy his movements. His expression though not seen by the naked eyes changed as he spoke. "How like you to play these little games of yours DEMRICE. As a banished you are not welcomed here, don't make me use force".
As his voice dropped, the air in the direction where all the beings inside the room faced distorted revealing another existence who released the same aura as the ones inside the room, but although the aura was the same, his also had an additional element of madness to it, the being called DEMRICE moved forward with a relaxed an nonchalant expression as he looked at the beings inside then to the one who addressed him at the beginning and laughed.
"HAHAHAH brother, such cold words after not seeing each other for ages hurts me more than the wound you left on me when you betrayed me last time, and for you to not even call me when you know how much I need to gain the {AUTHORITY} is quite hurtful or dear brother". DEMRICE spoke with a mischievous tone as he addressed the strongest in the room as his brother.
"And for the reason why I am here". He suddenly chuckled. Naturally I have the permission to attend from your or so-called overseer so you don't have to mind me." adorning a mischievous smile his body disappeared and appeared as he took position on a seat at the table with a relaxed pose. Just as the beings were about to attack, two more beings appeared inside the room their auras non-existent as one who appeared to be a woman spoke. "The rules have changed a little and little DEMRICE here is allowed to participate in the Multiverse games."
Just as the strongest of the meeting wanted to say something the woman looked at him. "Don't question my decisions little ZYRON, the rules are already effective as of now, the games will be overseeing by me as always so I expect you all know the rules, I don't want to kill some of your pawns unnecessarily, not that I care much so do your best to choose better champions, perhaps a blessing may fall on your lap just as our little DEMRICE here". She looked at him and showed a smile sending chills behind his back as DEMRICE forced back a smile and didn't utter a word, as long as he did what he was told he didn't have to worry about the overseer, she just like the rest of the Gods in this room were merely pawns of the council but his value was slightly more because of the deal he made with one of the council heads.
The two newcomers then disappeared and appeared in another location as the overlord looked at the overseer and smiled, "you have grown stronger once more, it'll only take at most a century or less before you also become an overlord, congratulations in advance". The overseer just nodded at him and didn't say anything. In this vast multiverse only the strong had a say, though the multiverse games appeared only after an eon and were overseeing by her as a chosen overseer by the council in charge of this world she didn't have real power over the decisions, she just had to make sure the games ran smoothly and no abnormalities occurred.
The overlord before her was a minion of one of the council heads and his presence and interference only means that the council have agreed as of such she has no opinion, as the Council and the Gods played their cards she also set hers as secretly as possible avoiding notice of the idiot before her and presumably the council, her gaze piercing dimensional layers as she gazed at a particular mortal who she had picked as a pawn to spread chaos and increase her chances to attain a higher level, such actions were prohibited but many beings who were playing this game had done similar actions. But whether they succeed or not all falls on their chosen
Back at Alcard kingdom a young boy was falling from a cliff, his body was filled with pain from the torture he got, his mind was growing hazy as his body plunged in the water, without legs and arms to help him swim, unwillingly his body slowly drowned as he took his last breath.
------ six days later--------
The young man's body floated to the mainland, the previously cold and pale body started to regain its hue, its heart came back to life as blood was pumped again, his injuries were healing at a speed visible to the naked eyes. Before he could open his eyes, his body was whisked away and appeared in a vast grassland expanse as in front of him, he saw a familiar face.
