Chapter 1 - Prologue

The night was ablaze as the city crumbled. The elemental forces joined in a whirlwind of chaos that expanded through this ancient city.

People were running amock as shadows of gigantic proportions flew bringing down this apocalyptic scene to the citizens and soldiers of a now demolished city.

Kids were crying as their mothers prayed for the salvation of a greater being, while their parents shielded them from fire and ice that were pouring down from the massive beast of unimaginable power. But nay they had insufficient strength to protect themselves from the attacks being burned and promptly frozen in a matter of seconds.

You would assume that storms had also started to take place as lighting and thunder struck down from the clouds. However, there was no rain to be seen making it clear that another of the hulking beasts had created them with its thundering roars of untold anger bringing with them agony as the lives of many other citizens perished through the electric blasts of power.

However, all hope was not lost as several battles could be heard and seen throughout the city.

At the top of the city's cathedral, a giant insectoid being could be seen dual-wielding a sword made with what seems to be honey and a sword made of dark purple metal with an intricate design. This warrior was fighting one of the monsters, This one could not have been seen if not for the fact that the city was now a fire zone, as the beast was as black as the night with a glimmer in its scales that could only be described as an oily texture to them. With its large claws, which could put any creature to its feats, it struck the insectoid soldier who himself blocked it with both of his swords holding his place for the consecutive attack that was its breath as he was now dodging the obnoxious amount of acid that was further destroying the roof he was standing on.

but the insectoid prevailed giving a rampage of attacks that the hulking monstrosity didn't even fathom possible to what it thought a punny being could muster. But it didn't back down from its attack as the charged its horned head towards the warrior blasting them several meters off the ground.

further away at the gate of the city, it could be seen another being fighting one of the other catastrophies. This being could only be described as a serpentine demonic being, it could be seen hurling around as its repertoire of weapons consisting of a spear, a short sword and a staff.

It couldn't be said that they were wasting any time trying to annihilate the draconic being that he was fighting as in front of him it could be seen the biggest of the creatures. A ginormous dragon with scales strong as any metal and red as the pits of Avernus. It glared at the serpentine being with malice, hatred and what seemed to be fear, as its opponent approached at a fast pace. It couldn't be seen who struck the first attack as a spear was piercing through the cheek of the beast while the serpent was being fried by its natural fire breath that could only be described as an erratic marvel of death and destruction.

This was only the start of the fight between them as sword slashes and the slashing of claws at speeds only visible by trained eyes, followed by cascades of fire and arcane colliding with each other in a fight of might and magic.

this battle continued for several more minutes when this fight was interrupted by another presence.

A human figure with blond hair and blue ice, covered in what looks like robes that would normally be worn by nobles of high society. and was brandishing a dagger that was, for now, covered by its hilt.

"Spike thank the astral you are here!" Shouted the serpent "We need to exterminate this foul beast before they escape".

"Don't worry you will certainly not see them escaping". Said Spike with a grin on his face.

"That's what I like to hear!" he said turning to face the gargantuan monster again. "Let's kill this red monster together befo—"

The half-serpent stopped abruptly as he was stabbed with a golden-like dagger in the back and at that very moment, he understood why the dragons were here, why they were alive again after he had finished with every single one of them before.

"You should have never trusted me Basilisk, I was always in favour of the dragons not with you and now you will die knowing that your life's work has vanished to never be complete again, and your kingdom crumbles to the ground to never resurface again," said spike as he twisted the dagger out of the back of serpent just to continue stabbing again and again.

As Basilisk's dying breath was about to pass he gave his last words. "I would be dead by your hands you insolent traitor to all of the races of the world, but I will use my final words the last bit of magic and life that I have left to curse all of the dragons, all of the ones that helped will help them to be targeted by my disciples and my compatriots you will never be safe from them and I will wish for your gruelling death" it was but whisper in the chaos of the night but was heard by every dragon and traitor of this land as clear as day.

As he trembled down to his knees the world darkened and the last thing he heard was the roars of the dragons as they retreated from their attack.
