Souta
I smiled as I whipped up some pancakes for us.
Seiya smirked as he watched me. "Someone looks happy today. Well, other than our parents. Those two were so loud. I could hear them even from the living room. The little ones rushed over to find me as they were scared."
I snickered. "Good."
Seiya crossed his arms. "What happened? Did you and Purpura have a good time last night? I saw you two sneak out last night."
"We did."
Seiya's eyes widened.
"B-but not like that! We didn't do anything."
Seiya's shoulders relaxed.
"Well, that's a relief. It would be bad if we had another baby in the family."
True. Since Purpura was a descendant of the quartz, that meant I could get him pregnant.
"So, what did you do?"
"Played the guitar. Kissed."
He grinned. "Nice. Although Pa will like the idea of you two sharing the same room even less."
My cheeks heated up. "Sh-shut up! Nothing will happen between us!"
"Yet."
I nodded and imagined Purpura's slender body.
Seiya snickered. "Looks like someone is imagining it. Better keep it in your pants for now. Pa might kick you out."
"Right. And what's your excuse? Ya got ya boyfriend pregnant."
"Well, I didn't know that I could do that. Plus, I'm nineteen now. So, Pa can't say much about it."
I chuckled. "Good luck tryin' to explain to him why yer havin' a baby when yer a boy."
He sighed. "Yeah..."
"No need, ya ma explained it last night," Pa said as he and Ma entered the kitchen.
"Ah, good morning, Pa. Good morning, Ma," Seiya said, smiling.
Pa huffed. "Well, at least ya turned out to be the pa. If ya were the ma, then..."
Ma frowned. "Honey, be nice. Your son is having a baby."
Pa grumbled and rubbed the back of his neck. He smiled. "Yeah. Our lineage lives on."
Seiya blushed. "Yeah."
"Hope it's a boy. Then I can teach him how to hunt," Pa said.
Seiya rolled his eyes. "And if it's a girl?"
He hummed. "Guess I can teach her too. Ya ma knows how to hunt as well. I'm not against teachin' girls. Although, they do terrify me."
Seiya and I snickered.
Ma gave us a stink eye. "You guys are lucky you are my sons, or else I would give you a piece of my mind."
We gulped.
"Well, it's the truth," Pa said.
She sighed and sat down. "Boys are more reckless than girls."
"How would ya know?"
"Because I got these two." She looked at Seiya and me.
We laughed nervously. True, we were a pair of troublemakers.
She sighed. "Sure hope my grandkids turn out more like me and less like ya and ya pa."
Pa huffed. "I ain't a troublemaker!"
Ma, Seiya, and I gave him a blank stare.
"Fine, maybe when I was a teenager. But not anymore."
"Well, hopefully, Seiya and Ziv's kid will be calmer. I'm not sure how Sou's will turn out. He's a lot like ya, dear," Ma said, kissing Pa on the cheek.
I pouted. "I-I can be calm."
"Sure, ya can," Pa said sarcastically.
"Yer aren't one to talk, hon," Ma said, rolling her eyes.
"I can be calm," Pa argued.
"Yeah, when ya asleep," Seiya said, snickering.
Pa grunted.
We burst into laugher.
"What's so funny?" my little sister said as she and my brother walked into the kitchen. They were rubbing the sleep off their eyes.
"Oh, nothing," I said.
"Just joking around," Seiya said.
They nodded and sat down.
"You okay, little ones?" Ma asked, frowning.
"There were some scary sounds last night!" Sis said.
"Like a monster!" Bro said.
I and Seiya snickered.
"Sorry, it was Pa and me," Ma said.
"Eh?" they both said.
"What are you two doing that is scary?" Sis asked.
"Playing ghosties?" Bro asked.
Pa blushed and coughed. "I-it wasn't anything scary, little ones. Just a game. Right, hon?"
"Right," Ma replied.
The kids' eyes lit up.
"A game? How do you play?" they asked.
"Uh, it's not something little ones should know," Pa said.
"Awww..."
I laughed as they pouted.
"It's okay. We'll let you know when you're older," Ma said.
The kids' eyes smiled.
"Do Seiya and Sou know?"
Seiya blushed. "Uh, yeah. I do."
I looked down and sighed. Sadly, I did too.
"Well, you're old enough. But your little sister and brother aren't."
They whined.
"Sorry, guys. We can play tag instead," Seiya suggested.
They both cheered and ran away from him.
"You better catch us, big bro!"
"We're way faster than you!"
Seiya laughed and followed after them.
I chuckled as I flipped the pancakes.
"You're a good cook, Sou," Ma said.
I blushed. "Thanks, Ma."
"I'm sure your future partner will be glad."
"Hopefully."
She sighed. "We heard you broke up with Sehun."
"Eh? Those two dated?" Pa asked.
I sighed. He was so out of the loop.
"Yeah," Ma said.
"Oh, okay. But, uh, did he cheat or somethin'?"
I frowned and looked down. "Yeah."
My parents' eyes widened.
"With who?" Ma asked.
I gripped the spoon, realizing my rage wasn't entirely gone.
"With Ava," I said.
"Ava?" both of them said in unison, glancing at one another.
"Seems both were bi," I muttered. "They cheated on me and Sayuri."
Pa grunted. "Those two are idiots."
"It's fine, Pa," I said, smiling faintly. "I already moved on."
Ma raised an eyebrow. "Have you?"
"I think so," I replied, turning my attention back to the pancakes.
"Well, just be careful. Don't rush into anything," Ma said, her voice laced with concern.
"I won't, Ma. I promise," I assured her, plating the pancakes. Granted, I did just compromise myself to date Purpura. But we have spent almost half a year together.
"The pancakes are done, kids! Make sure to thank yer brother," Pa said as he served them.
The little ones came back, smiling.
"Thank you, big bro!"
"Yeah, thanks, little bro," Seiya said, grinning.
I chuckled.
"Say, where is that purple-haired rent evader?" Pa asked, looking around.
Purpura had decided to go back to my room after we stepped out. Seemed he still felt uncomfortable around my family.
"He's playing the guitar," I said as I grabbed two plates, one for Purpura and one for me.
"Yer not eatin' here, son?"
"Nah, I'm gonna eat with him. He's not much of a morning person."
"Ah, I see."
I nodded and went upstairs. Lightly, I tapped on the door with my foot.
Purpura quickly opened it. He was wearing my white shirt.
"Got ya some pancakes," I said.
He smiled and took one of the plates from me.
We sat down on my bed and began eating.
"Mmm, you're getting better at cooking," he said, munching on his pancakes.
I blushed. "It's nothin'."
He leaned in and smirked. "You will make a great 'wife'."
My face turned redder. "I-I'm the man! No, wait, we are both guys! We can't be wives."
He laughed. "You're cute when you're flustered."
I grumbled. "That said, if one of us has to be the 'wife', it would be ya."
"Huh?"
"I mentioned it before. Yer the reincarnation of the princess of Quartz, while my past life was her husband. So, that makes ya the girl."
He squinted at me. "But I look and sound like a guy."
I laughed. "Ya pretty face doesn't help either."
He blushed. "Shut up!"
I snickered and took a bite of my pancakes.
Purpura smiled slightly. "Although I wouldn't mind being your 'wife', if it meant being with you."
My heart skipped a beat. He was adorable.
"Thanks," I said, patting his head.
He leaned in and kissed me on the cheek.
"What was that for?" I asked, feeling my cheeks warm up.
"For being so cute."
I chuckled. "Ya cute too."
We sat in comfortable silence for a few minutes, enjoying each other's company.
"Say, while you went to make breakfast, I was thinking about what you asked me earlier."
"Again, that's very vague," I said.
Purpura chuckled slightly. "I mean, about what my dreams are." He took a deep breath. "I was imprisoned most of my life and treated like a weapon. Even after I escaped, I always focused on my own survival."
He looked at me with his beautiful amethyst eyes.
"You helped change that, Sou. You showed me that there is more to life than just surviving."
My cheeks heated up.
"You have a wonderful family, and you've given me a chance at happiness." He held my hand. "I don't want to let that go."
His words touched me, and I found myself struggling to hold back tears.
"So, I thought... Even though it's dangerous, I'll like to go with you to this 'college' place."
I smiled. "Really?"
He nodded.
"But what about yer 'dad'?"
He sighed. "You said you would protect me, right?"
I nodded. "Always."
"Then I'll take the risk. Besides, I can't live my whole life in fear of him."
I hugged him tightly.
"You really are somethin', Purpura," I whispered.
He chuckled. "I should say that."
I blinked. "Wait, but you need to get your ged and pass the college entrance exam. Plus, what will you study?"
He stared at the guitar. "I... want to learn music."
I chuckled. "Okay. Then, after we finish our breakfast, let's get to studying. I can help ya prepare for the ged and the exams."
Purpura smiled. "Thank you, Sou. For everything."
"No, thank ya. Without ya, I wouldn't be here."
He leaned in and kissed me on the lips.
We stayed like that for a while, exploring each other's mouths. His tongue tasted like pancakes.
When we finally pulled away, he smirked. "So, about me being your 'wife'."
I rolled my eyes. "You're impossible, Purpura."
He chuckled and took another bite of his pancakes. "You're the one that's impossible."
And with that, we continued to eat our breakfast.
