Moments later, Lester's car pulled up in front of their new home. He informed Auston, and minutes later, they got into the car, with Lester greeting them with a friendly smile.
They exchanged greetings once more, and Auston said, "Take us to the most popular shopping center."
She responded, "It doesn't really matter where."
He insisted, "You deserve to splurge on yourself. I know I am."
She laughed, and he said, "I mean it. I don't know about others, but when I've had a bad day or a tough time, buying something new always cheers me up."
She said, "Okay, I guess that's true. It feels even better when it's not your money."
He chuckled and said, "Don't I know it."
Lester, who had been listening to the conversation while driving, asked, "So, money is your happiness?"
Caught off guard by the question, they both turned their eyes to Lester, who was in the front seat, and simultaneously responded, "Why not?"
