Anderson hurried to the control console to investigate the cause of this disturbance. When he switched to an external perspective, he was stunned to see an immense spaceship looming over his own.
His small vessel was utterly outmatched by the colossal spaceship above, which opened its docking mechanism to pull Anderson's ship onboard uncontrollably.
Soon, the Five Generals stood before Anderson.
Black Dwarf commented, "Who would've thought acquiring this Infinity Gauntlet would be so effortless? It's almost disappointing."
Proxima Centauri quipped, "Perhaps we should've thanked our search system for locating it. After all, the universe is vast, and your short legs aren't the fastest for such a task."
Black Dwarf hoisted Anderson into the air and menacingly threatened, "Where's the Infinity Gauntlet? Speak now, or I'll smash your brains out."
Terrified by General Black dwarf's intimidating presence, Anderson immediately pleaded for mercy, "Please spare me! The Infinity Gauntlet...it's in my spaceship."
Ebony Maw, meanwhile, floated out of Anderson's cabin, holding the box containing the Infinity Gauntlet. He commented, "Is this even worth questioning? The Infinity Gauntlet is right here."
Ebony Maw used his powers to open the box without touching it, revealing the Infinity Gauntlet inlaid with five Infinity Gems emitting a brilliant light. It captivated the five Black Yao Generals.
The sight left Black Dwarf astonished, "Is this the Infinity Gauntlet?"
General Deathblade gazed at the Infinity Gauntlet with apparent greed, indicating his interest in its limitless power.
Ebony Maw noticed General Deathblade's fascination and closed the box, securing the Infinity Gauntlet in their possession.
"Now that we have the Infinity Gauntlet, let's return to address Lord Thanos as planned," Black Dwarf concluded with a hint of resentment.
Proxima Centauri, bored with the turn of events, remarked, "Seems our mission is all wrapped up."
General Deathblade didn't offer further comments, acknowledging Ebony Maw's departure as the group departed to return to Thanos.
After a brief journey, they presented the Infinity Gauntlet obtained from Anderson to Thanos.
Thanos was overjoyed at the success of the Generals.
Thanos donned the Infinity Gauntlet with its five Infinity Gems, relishing the powerful energy coursing through him. He chuckled, "Unbelievable! This Infinity Gauntlet is real? It's a dream come true."
Ebony Maw commented on Rhodes's apparent carelessness, "Congratulations, Lord Thanos, for obtaining the Infinity Gauntlet. Now, only the final Infinity Gem remains to complete the Infinity Gauntlet."
Thanos agreed, "Indeed, just the Soul Gem remains, and that is excellent."
He turned to address the situation at hand, "We're heading to Vormir. I must gather all the Infinity Gems on this Infinity Gauntlet to execute my grand design."
Ebony Maw concurred, "The plan is nearly perfect."
However, Ebony Maw remembered the rumored conditions for acquiring the Soul Gem, hesitating to continue, "Master Thanos, I heard that to obtain the final Soul Gem, one must..."
Thanos cut him off, deciding on his next course of action, "Summon Gamora and Nebula."
Ebony Maw understood Thanos's intentions, "Very well, Lord Thanos."
Gamora and Nebula arrived, and Gamora noticed the Infinity Gauntlet in Thanos's grasp. She was taken aback by the sight but remained apprehensive about collecting all six Infinity Gems.
She was aware that if Thanos obtained them all, it would bring about catastrophic consequences for the universe.
Thanos had a conversation with Gamora, "My daughter, I require you to perform a momentous task."
Gamora knelt before Thanos, offering her help, "Father, I'll do whatever you ask. I'll give everything to assist you."
Thanos turned his attention to Nebula, asking, "And you, my dear?"
Nebula gazed at Gamora with a hint of jealousy but offered her cooperation, "I'm willing to help, Father."
Moments later, Thanos's Infinite Gauntlet exerted a powerful force, drawing Gamora and Nebula closer. Nebula struggled but was overpowered by Thanos, who held her like a fragile bird.
Gamora demanded, "Father, what are you planning?"
Thanos issued his command, "To avoid seeing Nebula dismantled, complete the task and retrieve the Soul Gem for me."
In fear for Nebula's life, Gamora reluctantly agreed, "I understand. I'll go to Vormir."
Gamora set out on her journey, navigating her spaceship to search for the Vormir star.
Gamora was fortunate to locate the Vormir star relatively quickly. However, her nightmare was just beginning.
Vormir was shrouded in perpetual darkness, with menacing thunderstorms punctuating the sky. The desolate landscape was devoid of life, covered in stark, black rocks, and devoid of water.
Gamora traversed the eerie terrain, voicing her doubts, "Could the Soul Gem really be found in such a place?"
As Gamora ventured further, she spotted an imposing mountain in the distance, solitary and towering high above the barren landscape. It seemed to rise abruptly from the ground and was isolated from any other peaks. Its summit was obscured by the menacing clouds, which crackled with lightning.
She cautiously approached the base of the colossal mountain, not expecting to find anyone in such a desolate location.
At the mountain's base, to her surprise, she encountered a figure cloaked in black.
