The group set out the following morning for Evelyn's home and the journey there was uneventful. Evelyn rode her large white mare in silence. She was too worried about facing Peggy after everything that had happened. She was not looking forward to it and wanted nothing more than to retrieve the book and leave again quietly, but she knew that that would not be likely. They approached the estate and Evelyn was glad to feel that the ward was still in place. She had worried about that, but now her worries were shifted to facing Peggy. She was not sure how her sister would react to seeing her again.
Clyde could tell that Evelyn had a lot on her mind as they rode in silence, but he was unsure of what to say as he watched her tense up as they grew closer to the estate. "Are you alright?" He finally asked as the large house grew visible.
Evelyn sighed, "I am just worried about facing Peggy," she admitted.
