Evelyn and Clyde sat in comfortable silence for some time while Evelyn read her book. She was not sure why Clyde chose to stay with her, but she was glad that he had. Hours passed by and Evleyn's eyes had grown tired from reading. She set the book down on the long coffee table and stretched her limbs.
"Are you tired?" Clyde asked.
Evelyn nodded her head. "Just a little," she replied.
Clyde got up from his seat on the couch and stretched a bit. "I will leave you to rest," he stated and began to make his way across the room.
"Will you stay with me a while?" Evelyn boldly asked.
Clyde paused in his steps and Evelyn could feel her heart in her throat. She was nervous that she was being too bold, but Clyde turned to her and smiled. "I can do that," he replied.
