The longer Evelyn went missing the more concerned Peggy became. She had sent the letter to her aunt in haste, but she had no idea of knowing if they would act on it. She had warned them about the wards and Evelyn's training, but the longer she was gone the more worried she became. She would never own up to the fact that she had written the letter, but she hoped that at any moment now Evelyn would return home. She was surprised to find that Clyde and the rest were not more concerned about her missing appearance. She thought that they would rush off to find her but it was already dinner time and no one had made any move to locate Evelyn. They ate in total silence, the guilt eating away at Peggy with each course they were served. She quickly excused herself and disappeared into her room.
"Why is Evelyn not back yet?" Clyde asked Duke Henry Valentia. "Are you not worried?"
