"How are you feeling?" Clyde asked. They had been riding for some time now and he was certain that Evelyn could use a break.
"I am fine," she lied. The long journey was just starting and she did not want to be a bother to anyone.
"We can take a break if you need one," Clyde replied. "It would be no trouble at all for us to take a small break now."
Evelyn sighed. She wanted to get up and stretch her legs but she knew that had quite a long distance to cover so quickly. "I could use a small break," she admitted.
"We can stop just up ahead. There should be a river there and our horses can get some time to drink as well," Clyde said with a soft smile. He knew that Evelyn was stubborn and if she thought she was only stopping for herself she might change her mind. "It is just up ahead."
"Thank you," Evelyn smiled back.
"It is no trouble at all," Clyde replied.
