Evelyn double-checked her saddle bags and draped her cloak over her shoulders. She was not sure how long they would be riding for, but she had been dressed in her most plain clothing for comfortability. She noticed that Penelope and Piper were also given horses, but she could not take her eyes off Clyde on his large black horse. His long black and white hair was pulled into a low ponytail, and he looked graceful seated in his saddle. She blushed when he caught her looking at him and she could have sworn she saw him smirk at her.
"Are you ready to go?" He asked.
Evelyn nodded her head, "as ready as I will ever be," she said.
Clyde turned to George and nodded his head. The small group took off toward the trail and Evelyn could not help but to tear up at seeing it grow smaller in the distance. She would miss her father and Peggy terribly, but this was something she had to do.
