Max was having a hard time focusing on the task at hand. He never expected to find his mate, much less it be another man. His wolf wanted nothing more than to be claimed by their Alpha mate, but Max knew how important it was that they got down to business. He cleared his throat, "we really should be getting ready to leave," he murmured, finding it hard to even formulate that sentence.
"We have time," Alpha Stephen said. "It will take about twenty minutes for Clark to round up the warriors and Isaha's mother," he said. He gently brushed back the hair on Max's forehead again and it sent shivers down his spine.
"I know, but if we are too late in returning, Alpha Arthur will have my hide."
Alpha Stephen growled, "I would like to see him try," he said.
Max gulped, "he has a plan, but the rescue of Isaha may have tipped them off and he worries about being discovered."
