ZOEY'S POV
There was this awkward silence around us after Roy made his statement.It's not like I didn't have anything to say though, I just didn't know how to start.
I did get off his arms and I this time he didn't put any effort to tighten the the grip to cage me in like before. Guess he wanted me away from him.
"Okay...I have a meeting in an hour, can you get ready for it? I'm sending you the details so that you can be familiar with what it will be about."Roy suddenly said getting up from the couch.
I did ruin the moment and the conversation that was going so smoothly. Why did my stupid brain tell me to talk about his family? Now he was mad at me.
"Can...can we finish talking about what we were talking about? I hate leaving the topic halfway through."I decided to speak up and revive our previous conversation.
