ZOEY'S POV
I helped my mother neatly arrange the groceries in their rightful place. We had just come back from shopping and being in the house I grew up in gave me a sense of peace and serenity.
"You seem happy." my mother commented and I guess my radiant face was shining so brightly to get noticed by a second party.
I chuckled handing the bacon to my mom to pack it in the freezer."I guess I am just glad to be spending time with you and Alex without any disruption."I paused in thought."It's been long since we spent alone time together don't you think?"I added glancing back at her.
"Yeah, you've always been so busy in your life with parenting and school and now you have a job," she said and I nodded in agreement as we continued to neatly pack everything we got from the convenient store.
