ROY'S POV
I walked back to the club to get the damn purse because I didn't want Zoey going back herself. There was something about the jacket guy that annoyed the shit out of me and don't remind me of her ex.
I knew I wasn't in a position to tell her to go to sleep because of my work tomorrow but what more excuse could I make to come here to get her?
When I heard the jacket guy on the phone call with her earlier, it bothered me and I found myself telling Marcus to get the car ready and drive here. It bothered me when Zoey was with other people, especially men.
Like I told her she was making my feelings which had been dormant for quite a long time, move to the edge. Her words and actions were getting to me more than they were supposed to. She was eliciting reactions from me and that was not an ordinary thing for me to do.
