Ethan woke up to the sound of the rooster in the morning light and without any delay, he started with his normal boring routine. The only relatively interesting thing would be sparring that would take place later that day. The kingdom had continued with their sparring sessions ever since they returned from the war and this day was one of the biggest as it was the semi-annual sparring day. The best knights of every rank sparred against one another in their respective Orders and only the three strongest of each rank would partake in the competition today, where every knight Order would compete against one another.
Firstly, the reason this was done was to encourage the knights to increase their combat prowess and have a bit of friendly competition. Those who can rank well in the semi-annual sparring competition would be able to receive treasures as a reward that could improve their strength.
