"Lax Yander, age sixteen, and rank seventh phase. Nihility System, proficiency is zero percent until the first null awakening." I followed the words displayed in my mind.

It was like a screen displayed on a monitor—something different from a game, but it had some similarities. One of the differences is that I couldn't interfere with it. I could only see it.
The Nihility System is still a mystery to me, as is how it functions. I also couldn't understand how to progress because I really had no idea what it was. However, one thing I know is that this system will help me, and I have already made some guesses on how to progress with it.
"I hope this works." I prayed and closed my blind eyes. Even though I'm already blind, I still open my eyes, as I was used to doing it. So, I need to get used to this first.
I sat on my bed earlier this evening at the dinner table, and my mother took the liberty to feed me. Although I felt weirded out by it at first, I got used to it and enjoyed being fed by my mother.
Afterwards, she took me to my room, and as soon as I entered, I felt nostalgic, even though I couldn't see my surroundings. I had a smile on my face and hopped on the bed with my mother's guidance.
"Goodnight, dear!" After saying those words, she closed the door and left.
"It looks cool; it's black mixed with silver, and it's shapeless. I feel like it could take on any form I want and use it however I want, but at the same time, I feel like I can't. It's really weird."
Observing the black-silver, shapeless energy in my surroundings, I felt something that shocked me. I feel as if I could erase anything that this energy was a part of. But I couldn't; I don't even know how this thing works.
This observation continued for several minutes, and soon time passed by quickly. Without my knowledge, half an hour passed, and in front of me was the dark-silver energy. The silver color took the outline of every object in my room, while the dark energy filled the space inside.
"I can see!" I exclaimed.
Even though I could see, it was like a new, different world in front of me. Everything had a silver outline and a black color filling it. So, with that thought, I stared at my hands.
"It's different." Instead of having a silver outline and dark-colored energy, my body was filled with a transparent blue color. I could feel another type of energy inside my body, however:
"I can't control it." At least not yet; that's what my instincts told me.
So for now, I'll experiment with this other energy. I stood up, and finally I could see the world around me, although it looked very different. Still, I won't complain; it's already a good thing I could see.
I approached my desk; it had a laptop, a phone, and some papers. I picked up one piece of paper and returned to my bed. The paper had a silver outline like the others, and I felt something telling me to erase it.
Wait, erase it? How do I do that? I don't know how, but even so, at least I had to try something, right? Then, unconsciously, I said,
"Disappear… please?"
Suddenly, as if it responded to my will, the paper slowly disintegrated and disappeared from existence.
"It's gone." The paper vanished from my hands.
However, why do I feel it's still there, as if I could return it anytime I want?
This is really interesting; something inside me wanted to explore it even more, but I can't fight my desire to sleep. I felt tired for some reason; it was when I erased that paper that I felt I lost my energy.
"Haa… So, in return for erasing a paper, I become extremely tired?" That's what I concluded before my consciousness faded away, and soon after I slept, a screen appeared in my mind.

"Only one percent? Don't tell me every time I erase a piece of paper, I will gain a percent." With that thought in mind, I grabbed another piece of paper and erased it.
Disappear!
Slowly, just like before, it disappeared. However, there was a slight change. I could feel that it was faster, but the speed difference was insignificant. Still, doesn't that mean I was making some progress?
"I feel tired, but... at least I don't feel like sleeping anymore."
The other change I felt in my body was that I felt like I could erase another piece of paper. meaning that I could now erase two papers! But there's a high chance of me falling unconscious afterwards.
Knock! Knock!
"Dear, are you awake?"
My thoughts were interrupted by the sudden knock on my door. It was my mother, and knowing that, I replied,
"Yes." I hurriedly stood up from my bed and ran towards the door, but because I wasn't used to this new world of mine, I almost stumbled before reaching the door. Then I opened the door and, "Morning, dear." I was greeted with a smile on my mother's face.
However, she soon frowned and placed her hands on my body as if to support me. "Let me; I'll take you downstairs to eat with our family." I didn't refuse and complied.
Heading downstairs with my mother's support, she took me to the table where two people sat. The first one was my father, Carter Walker, and next to him was my childhood friend, Anaya Walker.
Now that I had the ability to see, I could tell the outline of Anaya's mouth change and form a smile upon seeing me.
"Good morning, Anaya. Father." I greeted them with a smile of my own and sat down on one of the chairs in front of them.
The table had an oblong shape, and it had two chairs on each side. On the other side of the table sat my Anaya and my father, while me and my mother sat opposite them.
Soon they continued eating their meal, and I felt happy. This is bliss, and I could feel my soul healing just by being with them. That's why…
"I'll make sure nothing happens to them." I declared in my heart to protect them this time. And I'll kill anyone who gets in my way!
"What was that, dear?" my mother asked, hearing me mumbling.
"Nothing." I calmed down, and I realized what I'd said in my heart was really edgy, but I don't care. It was a promise I made, and I'll make sure it's fulfilled. But for now, let's focus on eating.
…
"Shit! I only have a month before that disaster!"
Argh… a month left of time before that
disaster happens, how will I take care of that? I need to make preparations!
Naturally, I was talking about the disaster that destroyed my previous world, although I only knew a few things about that disaster, and one of the few things I knew about that tragedy was that it was called 'The Great Alignment' and some call it 'Syzygia', the alignment of worlds.
Basically, the moment it happened, a portal appeared out of nowhere, and countless creatures stormed into our world and killed billions of humans. It was a tragedy I don't want to repeat.
"Argh, this is really making my head hurt." I couldn't help but grumble. "What's making your head hurt, Lax?" Hearing me complain, an angel next to me asked in a gentle voice that soothed my heart. I soon calmed down.
"Don't worry, it's nothing important." It was really important. But I shouldn't make her worry about me, so I shifted my attention to her.
Eyes of blue made me feel like being stared at by the sky, and with her ethereal auburn-white hair, she looked like an angel that descended from the heavens. As she got closer to me, I caught the scent of the fragrance coming from her body; it smelled so good, like the lovely smell of a lovely rose.
"Mmmm..." She snuggled deep into my chest and started sniffing my scent, a questionable thing to do if we were siblings, but we weren't. She was my childhood friend and someone who had feelings for me since we were little.
I was left behind by my own parents when they decided to kill themselves out of debt. They left me to fend for myself; that's why I was so grateful for how her parents treated me.
In the past, I didn't reciprocate her feelings, nor did I ever tell her mine. It was because I was afraid of her parents reactions; I was just someone adopted by her parents after all. And them treating me like their own child made me reluctant to do something about our relationship. I was afraid of how they would react, but now I don't really care anymore.
"Marry me, Lax!"
"No."
"Ahhh, come on. Marry me, Lax! Marry me, marry me, marry me..."
"..."
I couldn't help but remember the obsessive expression she made when she asked me to marry her repeatedly when we were kids; it made me feel a chill run down my spine back then. But now she behaves calmer than she did in the past, although her actions are still questionable.
"Mmmm?" Her cheeks puff, and it looks very cute when she lifts her head towards me.
"Haha." I chuckled and patted her head. She closed her eyes and enjoyed it happily. Her breath became ragged. Somehow this felt dangerous, so I stopped. "Hmph!" She gave me a pout and returned to snuggling in my chest.
She's very cute.
…
In an empty and endless white space, two silhouettes were fighting. Upon closer look, one of the silhouettes had a visible body, while the other was pure black, like a shadow. They were of the same stature.
The shadow silhouette launched various attacks—a jab, a roundhouse kick—and it even connected those attacks with another one by sweeping its feet on the ground. But it failed to accomplish its objective of making the man lose his balance.
However, as if it had an unlimited amount of stamina, the shadow continued its attacks without a moment of breath. Eventually, it found an opening after seeing the man cross his hands to defend against his punch. It launched a kick towards the man's stomach.
"Argh, that was much more painful than I thought." The man grunted in pain, contrary to his expression, which had a slight smile as if he were enjoying it. But by no means is the man a masochist; he was just enjoying the fight.
"You're really not going to leave me a chance to take a breath, huh?" He spoke to the shadow, which didn't respond but continued to deal another attack to the man's face. With one hand, the man defended against the attack, but his hand felt numb. "Got you!" He smiled and struck with his other hand, forming a fist. It landed on the shadow's face and staggered to the left.
Leaving the shadow no time to react after regaining its balance, the man launched himself towards the shadow and delivered a spinning kick. By twisting his body, it dealt a much more powerful blow.
"I guess that's enough for today; a few hours is enough, and it's already making me feel mentally tired." The man took a long breath and started stretching his body.
Afterwards, the endless white space vanished from the man's sight, and he returned to his bed with sweat all over his body. He was drenched, but nonetheless, he still smelled good. It was a characteristic that most men would envy and something a certain girl really loved.
