Chapter 1 - Your Dream

"Hurry up Oliver, otherwise you will miss the flight!" A man wearing a black jacket with red t-shirt and blue jeans called out to a young boy, probably seventeen, who was wearing a black shirt and black jeans with black shoes. The boy was running towards the entrance to the airport with his black carry-on shoulder bag and a large pink suitcase.

The boy was Oliver Sharma. He was finally going to England. It was not for tourism, but for sports. He had got scouted by Liverpool. It was because his uncle who owned a restaurant in London knew a scout from one of the most well-known football club in the world and hence, Oliver was scouted.

It was not because of the nepotism, as clubs like Liverpool won't dare tolerate it. It was because Oliver managed to impress everyone. The heat scout loved his performance in the official try-outs and hence, he was the only selected from a batch of sixty other children.

Oliver was going to London alone, and from there he would be accompanied by his uncle to Liverpool for another try-out for the professional contract.

Oliver was nervous. You don't travel a fourteen hour flight to one of the biggest cities in the world alone every week. His father would drop him off at the airport entrance as he was not allowed to go inside. Oliver would be all alone.

His father, Rohit Sharma, was a grocery store owner. He wasn't that rich but still well-off. His father, was initially against Oliver playing football but when he saw how everyone praised Oliver, he finally changed his mind.

Rohit was originally the one who had informed his brother-in-law and Oliver's uncle about the scouting opportunity.

Rohit: Got everything? Passport? Money? Boarding pass? Clothes? Your football kit?

Oliver: Yes dad. Mom made me double check before I left. There's nothing missing.

Rohit: You are traveling to another country, and that too alone. Take care of yourself. Don't do drugs there. You are going there to play football.

Oliver: Yes dad. You are embarrassing me now.

Rohit: What embarrassing? A father's just sending his son off.

Oliver: Anyway, I will stay with uncle for two days before leaving for Liverpool with the scout.

Rohit: Don't give your uncle trouble. He is the one who got you the opportunity anyway.

Oliver: I won't dad.

Rohit: And take care of yourself. Even if you don't do good, you can still make a career here.

Oliver: Is this supposed to be encouraging?

Rohit hugged his son. The two stayed like that for sometime before Oliver broke the hug. His father smiled at him before pushing him towards the entrance.

Rohit: Goodbye son!

Oliver: By dad! I promise I will make you proud!

Rohit: Just don't steal or go after girls!

Oliver pretended not to hear that.

When Oliver finally found his seat and made himself comfortable, he began to look outside the window. He was finally doing it.

Following his dream. It was his chance.

To become a footballing GOAT.

The year was 2013.

World, beware! For I, Oliver Sharma, is coming!
