The witch and vampire left the meeting hall, both with their own sort of frowns. While Wallie's was mostly disappointed, hers was thoughtful. It was all so confusing. While her body could wait an eternity for an answer to provide itself, that didn't mean her temperament could. When her eyes rested on where her hand was hooked to the witch's, she could tell by the tight grip that he needed answers just as badly. She worried they were going to fight all the way home and that would simply add on to her growing headache.
