The crystals were your special ability, but your mother felt they were overwhelming for you to control so much, so she did a little something to every crystal to make them more comprehensible for you, so much that you can naturally use every of their abilities just like breathing.
But there was a time limit placed on every crystal. You ought to have already possessed their power when you were around 15 at most, but you, due to your laziness or some stupid excuse, didn't do it.
