My room is dark and gloomy. My toys are neatly put away. My alcove window is open with a nice, little breeze flowing in. The curtains hanging above are slightly open and are softly blowing. I am waiting in my bed for my mother to kiss me goodnight and for my father to tuck me in. We say goodnight and my parents close the door a little bit, leaving it cracked. I start to drift off to sleep as I hear a loud "whoosh" sound outside my window. I hear it again and I look to see a boys shadow! He's bigger than me, I can tell. He steps onto my window sill and looks around in wonder. I stay quiet and shocked as I watch him. He looks at my drawings laying on the floor. He looks at the stuff atop my dresser. But my dresser has a mirror connected to it as well. The boy can see me from the mirror across the way. I gasp and watch as he flies over to me. "Hello, little boy!" He says to me with a smile. "Hello." I say in a quiet voice. "Who are you?" "Why, I'm Peter! Peter Pan! Heh, who are you?" "My name is... J-James." I say a little louder. "Well, James, would you like to go somewhere fun?" He's got a small glint of mischief in his eyes. "Oh, yes, I would love to!" I am excited now and happy to run off and play more! I wonder where we are going and so I ask, "Where are we going, Peter?" I quietly hop out of bed and put on my coat. "Neverland!" Peter Pan tells me. He is grinning ear to ear. Which, now that I can see, are oddly pointy.
