The mother happily looks at her five-year-old son as he happily plays his toys with his nanny Lucynda, Norma got everything she ever wished for in life, they are living well, she has a good, hardworking and loving husband, and a very kind, cute, and healthy child, for her, her life is perfect.

While Norma was busy looking at her son, her cellphone suddenly rang signaling that someone was calling her, and when she looked at it she saw that it was her husband calling.

"Hi honey, what is it?" she asked softly.

[Run..... Leave...] her husband replied intermittently that left her in confusion.

"Honey your signal is weak, I can't hear you properly" she said on the phone again "Lucynda, keep an eye on Noel, I'll just talk to his father" she said to the nanny who was currently playing with her child before walking towards the veranda.

[I love you] Those are her husband's last word before the call was cut off.

"Honey?, NOAH" she said in panic as she keeps on calling her husband's name through her phone, she tried to call her husband's cellphone again but it cannot be reached.

While she was busy thinking about how she could contact her husband again, they heard a loud explosion and after that there was a strong tremor all around the place.

She immediately went to the living room where her son and his nanny were, the nanny is carrying little Noel while she tries to stop him from crying, she took the child from his nanny's arms and carried him `What is happening?` that is the question that keeps on repeating in her mind as they try to escape their house.

It was difficult for them to get out because of the large pieces of rock that fell from their house but they still managed to get out.

Even though they are out they still need to run and try to survive, because it is not only their house that is collapsing but their entire neighborhood, loud screams and cries can be heard all around while other people also run quickly while avoiding the falling stones.

The shaking got stronger and the ground was gradually destroyed, "LUCYNDA" she screamed as she saw the nanny fell from the huge crack on the ground "Mommy" little Noel cried, she ssshh her child trying to calm him.

Even when she was tired, she still kept on running so that she and her son could be survive, but due to fatigue, she quickly weakened, and when a man bumped into her, she easily fell down and accidentally dropped her son.

Because many people panicking and running to different directions, her son was quickly pushed away from her "NOEL" She screamed as she try to look for her son but because the child was still small, she could not see him because of the people blocking in front of her "NOEL" she cried when she could no longer see or hear her son's cry.

Noel's POV

I woke up from the nightmare of my past, it was 17 years ago since that happened, the day of the explosion, the day I lost my parents, and the day the whole world change.

"Let me guess, same nightmare" I looked at my roommate who just spoked beside me, "Yeah" I answered while nodding "I'm sorry I woke you up" he is still laying on his bed while his elbow is resting on his pillow and looking at me, so I'm guessing that I woke him up "It's fine, it's a big day anyway, we need to start the day early" he answered smiling excitedly before sitting on his bed.

Today, after years of hard work and training a few hours from now on we will be an official guardian and join our own consortium.

17 years ago, after the explosion, a werewolf like creatures appeared in every corner of the world and we call them Hellions, no one knows where they came from, they just suddenly appeared and started terrorizing the human race, they are not just like the ordinary werewolf you see on the screen where humans turns to wolf at night and howl at the moon, Hellions are worst, they are more faster and stronger, brutal and rabid, they are monsters, normal weapon doesn't work on them.

For almost a year Hellions terrorized us and eliminated half of the population before finally, the first guardian appeared out of the blue, after one person manifested an ability that can harm a Hellion, since then other people started manifesting abilities one after the other, and that's how us guardians created.

"What consortium do you plan on joining?" Lawyel asked while buttoning his shirt " I haven't decided yet" I answered and put my shoes on "You're the top student in our class, I'm sure a lot of consortium are lining up just to have you" He is right, there are some consortium inviting me to join them but I haven't answer any of them yet "Don't tell me you don't plan to continue being a guardian? " he asked in disbelief "You know that being a guardian is not really what I want" when my adopted grandmother died she wanted me to be a guardian, it's her dying wish, she believe that the guardians are the humans race's savior, even though when she needed them, no one came, no one arrived to save her, still she hold on to her belief, the day she died is also the day I manifested my ability but I was too late to save her, how can I save others when I couldn't even save the only person I have left?.

After a few minutes we finally arrived at the Guardians Training Campus, as per instructed, all of us gathered to the gymnasium of the campus, everyone is talking and deciding whether on what consortium they would join or why they still haven't received any invitation from any consortium.

"What consortium do you plan on joining Lawyel?" I asked lawyel " I only have one invitation so far, I guess I'll join that, I don't want to join the other consortium that didn't give me an invitation because I will still have to attend their interviews and another few months of training" He answered, until now I still haven't decided whether to continue or not.

"I heard that the Black Panther consortium is here" I heard one of my schoolmate whispered, The Black Panther is the strongest in all consortiums "I wonder who received an invitation from them" the other said before both of them looked at me, I didn't receive an invitation from the Black Panther, I will lie if I say that I didn't hope for their invitation because I did, If there is a consortium that I would like to join, it would be none other than Black Panther.
