Na Eun exited the café and climbed into her car, steering it towards Cheongdam-dong.
She had a house in this upscale neighborhood, but it was more accurate to say that it was on loan from the banks; they, in essence, owned the house.
Not everyone had the kind of luck that Jin Ho enjoyed.
It didn't take her long to reach the imposing apartment building.
The structure is grand and towering, a residence that only the wealthiest one percent could afford.
Na Eun knew someone who lived here.
As she passed the security guard, she didn't even need to show any form of identification.
Those who were privy to Jin Ho's secrets were aware that the entire luxurious apartment complex belonged to him. That's how immensely wealthy her friend was.
To outsiders who didn't know Jin Ho well, it is a common misconception that he hailed from a wealthy family or had received a substantial inheritance.
In truth, Jin Ho is an orphan, and his immense wealth was largely due to his remarkable luck.
Na Eun couldn't help but let out a sigh.
"That lucky bastard" she thought to herself
As for the reason why she is able to enter and exit the apartment complex with ease it is because of Jin Ho, who had provided her with a pass.
Additionally, because she frequently spent her nights here, the security guards had grown accustomed to her presence, often simply waving her through without the need for verification.
After parking her car, Na Eun glanced at herself in the rearview mirror.
She noticed a bit of dust on her face and wiped it away, then nodded with a hint of satisfaction.
"I look presentable," she muttered to herself, ensuring she appeared her best
And then she sighed.
Her feeling right now is very complicated
She wants to go and she doesn't want to go.
So, she sighed. She feels the cold winds blowing and shakes her head
"You already made the decision, so there is no need to hesitate now" she thought to herself
Exiting her car, Na Eun made her way into the private elevator that led directly to Jin Ho's apartment.
A few minutes later, she stood before Jin Ho's door, taking a deep breath to steady her heart.
With a mixture of anticipation and uncertainty, she raised her hand to knock on the door, but her hand halted
And she put down her hand back
And she gulped.
She once again looks at the door and prepares her heart
And now, that she is in front of that door, she closes her eyes for a second and she could not help but thought of certain memories.
Nostalgic memories. Sweet memories. And like a song long forgotten it brings her a certain kind of feelings
Like not wanting the song to end.
And so, she sighed again.
Even on days where nothing goes well for her, just being together with him cheers her up. And for a moment she could forget her loneliness
But she is no longer a kid. She could not just sit on the ground and cry.
When she is with him, she could be herself.
And…. she did not want to lose that.
Taking a deep breath, she mutters to herself
'Valentine. I think it is appropriate that I should end this crush on Valentine' She is one that always hated attaching meaning to dates or some events.
But, weirdly enough, when it is about her and him…. Every date….every moment, every simple gesture…. she seems to attached deep meaning to it
Maybe, it is just because she wanted to delay it as much as possible.
She laughed at herself but then she quickly calmed herself down
She keys in the password in the keypad and enter the penthouse

They look at each other and Jin Ho and they are both blushing
And the first thing they did was to check what is happening under the cover. He looks and then saw his pants.
'Fuh' he thought to himself. He didn't remember much from last night. But at least they did not cross any lines that should not be crossed.
He then looks back at Na Eun. And he saw that Na Eun also look under the covers and he smiles without meaning to.
She then went out from the covers and looks at him and said
'I guess we are safe'
As they sat there in an awkward silence, a growing sense of unease settled upon both of them.
Simultaneously, they realized that something was not quite right, and their eyes darted to specific areas of each other's bodies.
Jin Ho's gaze fell upon Na Eun's chest, and he noticed her bra, causing his heart to race as he struggled to recall the events of the previous night.
She is not wearing any clothes and as Jin Ho tilted his head to his left, he saw Na Eun shirt on the other side of the bed with her pants.
'Something did happen' he thought to himself.
He just doesn't remember it.
And Na Eun face changed when she saw something on Jin Ho neck
She is seeing her kiss mark on his neck
'Something did happen' she thought
So, suddenly both of them are red in the face. And both of them don't remember what happen last night.
At the same time, both of them went under the covers and look at each other. While Jin Ho is still wearing pants, Na Eun is only left with her underwear.
Something...almost happened. That was the thought of them both.
But what?
They could not remember it.
Then they both rushed out from the bed.
In most television dramas, when faced with a situation like this, both men and women would typically react with haste.
They would hastily scramble out of bed, stumble as they attempt to put on their clothes, and seek to distance themselves from any potential awkwardness.
It's the conventional response to such predicaments. However, the relationship between Jin Ho and Na Eun was far from typical or simple.
these two…...their relationship is not so simple and not so…. normal
They were once a couple.
And of course, they used to sleep together.
Since transitioning to a friendship, they had made a conscious effort to maintain clear boundaries.
Crossing those lines again was a Pandora's box they didn't want to open.
So, instead of rushing and stumbling, they found themselves in an unusual, uncomfortable standstill, unsure of how to proceed.
Jin Ho's bed is not a modest one; it is a king-sized bed, spacious and wide.
The typical approach of simply leaping out of bed and landing on the floor wouldn't suffice.
Instead, Jin Ho, in all his eccentricity, executed a peculiar maneuver.
He rolled to the side like a roly-poly bug, making a rather graceful exit from the bed, and then landed perfectly on the floor.
It is an unconventional way of getting up, to say the least.
Na Eun, in contrast, opted for a different approach. She clutched the blanket around her as she retrieved her scattered clothes and pants. With her belongings safely in hand, she slipped back under the covers.
During this interlude, Jin Ho grabbed his pajamas and swiftly dressed himself, attempting to regain some semblance of normalcy in the midst of this awkward situation.
