"Why are you crying, Joanna?"
Joanna dazed, staring up at the man whose green eyes that sparkled under the illumination of the lantern above him captured hers.
"What happened?"
Joanna heard the man ask her again, but she only stared at him as if she were enchanted by his low, tender voice.
"Are you missing me?"
It was then that Joanna was awakened from her stupor, casting away all the spells chanted by the green-eyed man, who wore a faint smile on his lips.
Blinking her eyes several times, Joanna closed her lips, which were subtly agape due to what welcomed her once she opened the door. She then gently pushed the cold hand that caressed her cheek, as it had been there to wipe away the tears from her face.
