Standing tall before her was a glass door that was surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, through which the luminous glow of the moon cut through the dimness, blending with the yellow-orange glow that was emitted from two lanterns that were hung on each side of the wall at the end of the corridor that led to the balcony across the glass door.
With the addition of light that now enveloped her, after passing through the minimal amount of light that was provided by the small number of lanterns among the corridors since the sound of crowds could not reach her sense of hearing, Joanna was now staring at the moon's silvery visage that shone in through the window before her.
Even though it did not provide her with much light, the silvery glow of the moon made her somehow feel at ease, like a fish returning to the sea after being washed ashore.
