Liu Yuhong was initially scared of ghosts too, but gradually Liang Ping'an bolstered her courage. They found that doing it in such a terrifying place was more thrilling. Over the years, though, they hadn't seen a single ghost. She did, however, dress up as a ghost a few times at Liang Ping'an's instigation, scaring the villagers away from Hanging Neck Mountain.
"Right, no ghosts..." Liu Yuhong trembled as she spoke, "There are no ghosts in the world..."
Her words had barely fallen.
Along with the howling mountain wind, a chilling female ghost's laugh, "Hehehe..." drifted from under the plum tree ahead.
