Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The beginning of the end part 1

"Gooooooooallll," daiki shouted on top his lung's full of ecstasy.

Daiki was at the living room watching the 2018 FIFA World Cup final which was, 'France v Croatia.' The boy was amazed by the talent's such as; Modric, Benzema and ofcourse Mbappe.

"I wanna be like them," He murmured to himself,"No I wanna surpass them."

Daiki is a boy who has is real passion for football and doesn't play it for the glory nor the money. Just for the sake of becoming the greatest.

"You better not be watching football again!" a furious voice from the other room shouted.

Daiki rushed and turned off the tv. Immediatetly Daiki's mother entered the living room, Hana Kimura.

"I told you to stop focusing on football and study hard at school!" She yelled, "How many times should I tell you this?"

Daiki looked down in frustration and clenched his fist in anger.

"But I wanna play football mom," He replied back.

His mom came closer to him and held his hand's."You are almost 15 year's now I think it's time to seriously start focusing on your future and drop," She said.

"I am barely managing to pay the bill's and your father is a useless drunkard so you are the only person I can rely on so please stop." She further explained while crying.

There was a sickening silence between the child and the mother, Daiki was in shock from what she said so he left the room as that was the only way he could respond to her.

The boy only had a dream of playing football and representing his home country at the World Cup, there was not a day he did not think of football. He reached his father's as he was the only who could comfort him at times like this.

"Hey dad are you there?" He asked while knocked on his door.

"Enter,"He replied.

His father is Daichi Kimura, a former footballer who failed to achieve his dream of going pro after sustaining a fatal injury hence ending his career abruptly, he turned to drinking afterwards. Although that's the case, he genuinely love's his son.

"Don't mind the empty bottle's son,"He said while awkwardly laughing, "So what's seems to be the problem champ."

"It's mom again," he replied while snuffling, "she say's I can't play football anymore."

"So let me ask you a question then," he said, "Why do you wanna play football?"

"Because I want to be the best," he replied.

"No, everyone wants to be the best," he said, "So I will ask you one more time."

"Why do you play football son?" He asked.

There was an awkward silence between them, his father was suddenly serious as if his answer would determine his future.

"I don't know myself it's like something burning inside me tells me to push forward and become the greatest this world has ever seen," he explained with a smile on his face.

"Good answer," he replied with smile too.

His father reached in his pocket and grabbed a piece of paper, he handed it to Daiki. To his surprise, it was an invitation to the tryouts held in Tokyo inorder to get into one of the most prestigious youth teams in the world, 'Real Madrid Youth Team.'

"What the hell dad?"He asked in shock,"Where did you get this."

"Your old man managed to pull some strings," he told him while full of pride, "But this is your last chance to prove to me, your mom and the world you are greatest to ever walk this earth."

He replied with 100 percent determination and conviction, "I will show everyone I am the greatest dad."

"Hehe that's my boy," he replied.
