Chapter 50 - Breadwinner

Immediately he said that, numerous disintegrative micropods that contained thousands of spatially-transmittable and quick-replicating, vast-range beaconing nanodrones, suddenly bursted open to release the nanodrones which rapidly flew out of the pouch that Maxmillan dropped on the table in Edgar's office, and into the pouches that where on the ground in front of Edgar outside the office, before generating a strong electrostatic high-attachment field and a strong quasi-magnetic super-cohesion field that will help each of them greatly attach to the each of the coins stored in the pouches.

Once that was done, their ultra-stealth photo-camouflage ability was turned on which caused the nanodrones to turn completely invisible and totally imperceptible by every powerful, special-frequency wave detector or outside-wavelength multi-radiation energy scanner.

Maxmillan who had taken many other routes to avoid being suspected by the Lords whom he felt their gazes were earlier fixated on him, immediately produced the Ultra-High Velocity Traversal Speed Boots which instantly propelled him at a colossal speed back to his parent's home.

As soon as he arrived before the gate of his house and put away the boots, he produced a smile in his face and walked in since the door was open.

Immediately he entered, he saw Lenna and his two sisters, Nailah and Lylla seated on the couches with highly anxious expressions in their faces.

Very quickly, they stood to their feet to surround him and barrage him with questions.

"So Max, how did it go? What you planned, did it turn out to be successful?" Lenna asked with great curiosity in her face.

"Yes mother. It turned out really well. It was a good plan. You guys should applaud me." Maxmillan said with a radiant smile in his face, while the others heaved loud sighs of relief.

"So, the land? It belongs to us now?" Nailah asked.

"Yes. And yea, fully purchased. Meaning that we are the actual owners of the land now and can do whatever we want on the land. Only we have the authority to make whatever decisions we want on the land, without interference or disruption from the Government or from absolutely anyone." Maxmillan said and broke a broad smile in his face.

"Wow. B-But how were you able to achieve that?" Lenna asked in a stuttering manner since she was really amazed.

"Well, mom, you should understand me. Anything I set my heart to do, I do it and get the actual result I want!" Maxmillan said with the proud smile in his face intensifying further.

"That's hugely impressive of you my dearest." Lenna said in a proud tone.

"So, does that mean that those silver-framed certificate of irreversible land ownership is in our hands too, that we are a silver-level prestigious buyer of land?" Lylla asked with her eyes flashing brightly in both joy and amazement.

"Yes!" Maxmillan said and grinned.

"But Maxie, why don't you tell us how you were able to achieve that?" Nailah asked with her glowing in strong light of curiosity.

"When dad comes around, he will explain to you. I don't know how I would be able to explain myself to you guys." Maxmillan said, drawing their curious minds back to their immediate surrounding.

"That's right. Where is dad?" Lylla asked.

"He is on his way here. He should get here very soon." Maxmillan said while the others nodded their heads.

"But brother, didn't you face any adversarial opposition in there? Like the previous buyer of the land suddenly dashing in with the paramount magical advisers, emissaries or guards that accompany him around to come make trouble for you?" Lylla asked with a perplexed gaze in her eyes.

"No. Perhaps he isn't around where he kept the normal certificate of land ownership that would have turned null and void. But I believe that in days or weeks to come, or even months, he will appear before us in extreme wrath to ask us to surrender the certificate to him for him to destroy by every means possible." Maxmillan said, while the others became worried.

"What are we going to do when he comes? He is too powerful to touch. Or if we do, we would end up with a serious problem in our hands. We could even end up leaving our home and the land we newly purchased for them to stay in dry and barren deserted places, so as to avoid their retaliatory wrath and immensely afflictive anger." Nailah said with a heavily worried expression manifesting in her face.

"Well, I won't declare that nothing of such will happen, because I also have a feeling that it will happen, much sooner than expected or later in the future. However, if anyone comes around to threaten anyone of my family over anything that is rightfully or legitimately ours, that soul is going to have me to contend with. And I assure you, that soul will understand that it has collided with an impregnable immovable mountain. And that it has broken into a restricted dimension of unprecedented, absolutely fatal dangers." Maxmillan said with the aura of great fierceness beginning to pulsate around his tall figure.

Everyone gathered around him became quiet, since the inimitable ferocity in his statement was one that reached deep into their souls and caused them to shake very hard and develop chills all over.

"Whenever our little brother begins to speak in this shocking dominating manner, I always feel that you have become suddenly possessed by the existing soul or lingering spirit of some ancient or primeval indomitable warlord that always follow you around." Lylla said and laughed, while Maxmillan only shook his head at her with a smile in his face.

Just before they could continue speaking, Taryell suddenly appeared at the door and walked in with great joy and delight in his face.

But once he saw Maxmillan, he became shocked and asked, "Maxmillan, that's fast of you. How did you do it? How were you able to get home before me?"

"You won't understand dad. Haha." Maxmillan said and laughed, while Taryell shook his head in both amazement and bewilderment at Maxmillan.

'This son of mine, he is the most secretive human I have ever come across in my life.' Taryell said and shook his head once again.

He didn't even bother asking Maxmillan about the sudden strange personation that he kept up with till they departed from one another, since he understood that Maxmillan wasn't going to tell him anything, except smile and possibly say something else entirely.

He then reached for his bag to produce the nigh-indestructible, silver-framed certificate of irreversible land ownership which he immediately showed to everyone with a boundlessly delighted expression in his face.

"See this. I am now a silver-level certificated land owner. Haha. I am so happy. It's all thanks to Maxmillan, our sweet dearest son." Taryell said with irrepressible great excitement in his tone.

He then said further, "He spent a really large amount of money to obtain this shiny beautiful certificate for me. Like, a whole lot of money that the chief of the land seller organization couldn't turn his eyes away from and cooperated instantly with us"

Then rather playfully, he said with a smile in his face, "Starting from now, anyone that needs money for anything, should directly go to meet Maxmillan. I have appointed him as the new and permanent breadwinner of the family. He is colossally wealthy and can afford everything that your heart wants, needs or desires. Haha."

Maxmillan only smiled. But he was ready to shower his family with the coins he had on him, even if he was appointed as the breadwinner or not. It was like giving back to the family, in his least way for the generosity, love and care that he had been shown since his twenty-seven year-old soul transmigrated into the body of their five-year old dead son.

Once Taryell said that, both Lylla and Nailah appeared in front of Maxmillan and tried to ask him for money with persuasive tones and glistening imploring eyes. While Maxmillan shook his head and sighed, as he already understood that he would be heavily billed to no end that he would feel like running far away from home to avoid his mother and sisters, who in their eyes was a living bag of coins. He however would do things in moderation so as not to get his family into trouble, due to their high spending and enormous purchasing power.

- Evening -

"Sir Edgar, who was it that fearlessly bought the land that I purchased from you?" A young man called Lurrein Hortworth and was surrounded by numerous, vicious-looking Astra Spellcraft Commander-level protector guards, said with immense anger in his tone.

"Well, a really rich dude named Maxwell Thornfrost from Ahodiah city. He bought the land for the people that you snatched the land from." Edgar replied nonchalantly.

"Still those people? Amazing! Just amazing! For this foolishly bold act of transgression towards me, I will ensure that those ratchets people suffer tremendously. They will so suffer that they will beg me and find ways to destroy the silver-framed certificate that you gave to them themselves." Lurrein said and walked off in annoyance. While his magical guardians immediately followed behind him with the aura of viciousness emanating constantly from their intimidatingly tall figures.

Edgar who saw how Lurrein walked off in extreme anger to his grandly beautiful luxurious carriage parked at a distance within the organization's inner premises, mentioned with a certain expression appearing in his face, "Just be careful about the family you want to hurt or devastate. The family are under the great and unceasing favor of a strong and fierce, private gladiatorial student of a powerful Astra Spellcraft Lord."
