The guards watched Pamela storm out of the room and glanced at each other in fear before looking at Kaleb in unison.
Kaleb took a step back and stuttered, "Guys! You really can't do this! Don't listen to her!"
"But Mr. Kaleb, my family's life is at stake! Mrs. Pamela knows where I live and she's really ruthless! She'd really do as she says I can't lose my wife and three kids!" One of the guards, Arnold said in desperation.
As much as he sympathized with Kaleb, he still couldn't sacrifice the lives of his family members.
Kaleb was shocked. These were the same men who were speaking against the injustice he and Addilyn were going through but here they were trying to kill him at the slightest inconvenience.
He turned to look at the other guard with hope in his eyes. Maybe he would be the one to help him convince his colleague against the idea but he was bound to be disappointed.
