Kaleb had just reached the door, ready to begin knocking incessantly, when it unexpectedly swung open from the outside. To his surprise, Pamela entered the room, moving with a slow and confident sway.
Following closely behind her were two guards who looked quite embarrassed. Kaleb guessed that they must have been the ones discussing just before Pamela arrived.
"How have you been, Kaleb? Have you been enjoying your stay in my favorite guesthouse? Did the boys 'serve' you well enough?" She asked with a wide grin, an evil glint in her eye.
Kaleb's eyes glowered as he stared at her and asked, "Pamela, where is Addilyn?"
The guards shared nervous glances and shuddered slightly. It seemed their little gossip had been overheard by Mr. Kaleb.
They were just feeling a bit bored today so they decided to talk about their bosses but they never anticipated Mrs. Pamela to suddenly appear nearly catching them in the act.
