Gabriel was sitting in the living room waiting patiently for Emma to get dressed so he could take her back home when Daniel emerged from the stairs, wearing a stylish denim shirt and pants, and made his way over to him with two glasses of wine in his hands.
Because of Gabriel's presence, he didn't stay alone with Emma in his room for a long time and quickly got dressed so Gabriel wouldn't think he was up to something again.
He just barely got out of his father-in-law's bad books so he wouldn't want to do anything to jeopardize that.
"Dad, I'm thankful that you gave me another chance to make things right with Emma. This is my way of saying I'm sorry and I'll never let you regret your decision today." He said with a polite smile as he handed over one of the cups to Gabriel.
Gabriel looked at Daniel for a few seconds before he stretched out his hand to collect the cup from his grasp.
