Daniel looked Emma dead in the eye and poured out his innermost feelings that he had never said to anyone else.

No matter how daring he was, he didn't dare to tell Emma that he was always jealous whenever he saw her with another man so much so that he organized a slight hiccup at Ash's company that would keep him busy for at least a few weeks.
But if Emma knew how possessive he could be, it might just make her angry and scare her away as she might feel like he was trying to control her and that wasn't what he wanted.
