A voice kept talking to him about something something project, but he was too deep in his coma to notice.
Then , he regained his consciousness, the first thing he noticed was something he couldn't understand. His body feels weirdly soft, as if there's no bone , he panicked, thinking the crash has rendered him useless.
*No way, am I useless now !? I can't feel my bones!!*
A human with crushed bones couldn't do anything except lying there and wait for death.
The second thing he noticed was the smell , the thought he had been transported to a hospital, but the smell betrayed his idea. It was a mushy smell, the smell of moss, dirt and rotten meat was permeating the place
*And what is this, what is this disgusting smell, a hospital couldn't possibly smell this bad ,can it ?*
*..Then, if this isn't a hospital, where the hell am I !?*
While he was questioning his situation, a voice suddenly rang out in the distance
"Welcome to the CARRION Project, my dear test subject,..."
On his right , a blue screen pops up with the appearance of a young scientist , he was wearing a red and white lab coat, glasses with blue colored rocks on the side. He had bright red hair as if it was burning, tied up like a ponytail , his slitted eyes with golden irises created an impression of a high standing man ,with a cunning aura around him, as though his full arcing smile isn't enough to show it.
"...you may be wondering why you have ended up here when you thought you had just died. The reason you're here is simply because i need your soul."
Jason with his eyes wide couldn't believe what he was watching, some weird guy having just announced to him that he has died but was brought back to life for his amusement
"What are you saying? I'm dead? Then where is this, and how am I still alive if I'm dead?"
Full of questions, Jason couldn't help but question if he could trust this man, and his questions were answered immediately
"You probably a lot of questions, so I'll answer them now. Oh, also this is a recording so your personal question might be left on your own account to figure it out."
"Okay, first question : where exactly are you ? Firstly, you have been transferred to this world which is named Arcyph by the will of the world God; and when compared to your world, it's much MUCH bigger and has many powerful and incomprehensible existence like Dragons or Gods; well, that's just my guess though, because who knows where you could have came from.
Secondly, you are inside of one of my testing facilities for the research of Project CARRION. This facility is connected to an artificial Dungeon made for the final testing of the capabilities of a test subject, to prepare you for the inheritance of the Mana Heart, which will mark the success of the Project."
Trying to calm down ,even when he couldn't believe his situation, he still tried calming down as panicking wouldn't help, Jason began to analyze his new found information.
'So this is a facility for their tests, but what about that Dungeon? And Mana Heart? What is this, a fantasy novel ?'
"Onto the next question: how are you here if you're dead ? Well, thanks to my brilliant invention - the Soul Seeker, she can capture wandering souls that got lost on their way to reincarnation and sew them into these test subjects"
*So it's because of that Soul Seeker thing that I'm here? Damn It, if I ever find out where that thing is , I'm gonna smash it to pieces! And wait, now that I'm thinking about it, what is this test subject that he refers to ? What am I right now?? Please don't tell me I'm a rat or something ,that would sucks."
At that moment , he doesn't know that what he has become is way worse than a rat, if he had known , he would have begged to be a rat instead, at least a rat was an animal.
Though his fate was not a kind one, at least at the end of the hardship, there will be bountiful fruits for harvest
"Finally onto the last question: what kind of creature are you ?.."
