The car crawled through the bustling traffic, inching along, stopping and starting in a lazy procession. Chi Yue and Qiao Dongyang had chatted for a while before she lay back in her seat, listlessly watching the car creep forward like a snail, almost falling asleep.
She yawned, fished out the script from her backpack, and began reading intently, nodding her head slowly while murmuring to herself.
Qiao Dongyang glanced at her a few times, but she was utterly oblivious, her brows occasionally furrowed in concentration as if she were in another world.
Drumming his fingers on the steering wheel, Qiao Dongyang casually asked during a pause at a red light, "That focused?"
Without looking up, Chi Yue replied, "The early bird catches the worm."
Turning his head to look at her for a moment, Qiao Dongyang asked, "You don't plan on settling down in this industry, do you?"
"Where there's a job, there's love," Chi Yue said.
