His hand was still holding a pen, signing a document whose purpose she couldn't discern. He appeared quite busy.
Yan Zao said, "Then I'm hanging up."
Lan Mu looked up at her, commanding in his tone, "Don't you dare hang up."
Yan Zao: "..."
'Knock, knock, knock...'
Suddenly someone knocked on the door, and Yan Zao glanced at the time.
It was likely Wen Jing, as expected.
Every day at this hour, once she had finished her work, Wen Jing would enter her office to chat for a bit.
"Come in."
Wen Jing responded from outside the door and then said to Lan Mu, "Hanging up now."
"You're not allowed to hang up."
Lan Mu's commanding tone took on an added note of warning.
He glared with a look that dared her to try hanging up.
The door opened, and sure enough, it was Wen Jing.
Yan Zao didn't concern herself with Lan Mu's video call anymore; she propped her phone up against a pencil holder next to her and then turned her attention to Wen Jing.
