As she spoke, she reached out to grab the thermos on the coffee table and opened it.
Inside was rice and a nourishing soup, intended for lunch. Yu Yesang had had no appetite and hadn't touched it till now.
Yu's mother poured the soup into a bowl and handed the spoon to Yu Yesang, who nodded with a smile, "Mm."
She took the spoon and was about to sip the soup when someone knocked on the door.
The door was locked from the inside; Yu's mother got up to open it.
Upon opening the door, they saw Yu Yesang's lawyer. Yu's mother asked curiously, "Zhu Sheng, what brings you here?"
Zhu Sheng said, "Su Sister, I've been trying to reach you on the phone, but it was busy. This is urgent, so I came over."
He looked somewhat tense; both Yu's mother and Yu Yesang became anxious as well. "What's the matter?" they asked.
Yu Yesang lost her desire to drink the soup and put down her spoon as she stood up.
