Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Husband_1

Yan Zao absentmindedly took the items the traffic cop handed her, forgetting to ask for leniency to be allowed to drive her own car home.

She even nodded and thanked him.

Meanwhile, Zhou Sicheng was still calling out to her, "Yan Zao, what happened to you?"

After dealing with Yan Zao's issue, the traffic cop's attention began to shift. Hearing Zhou Sicheng's shout, he looked over to see the car door open with the car parked there, and he pointed at Zhou Sicheng, questioning, "What are you doing stopping in the middle of the road?"

Regardless of how impressive one might be, they still had to abide by the law. Zhou Sicheng thought to himself that this was not good and turned to make a break for it.

Seeing Zhou Sicheng about to drive away, Yan Zao didn't know what came over her, but she pointed at the man in the passenger seat of Zhou Sicheng's car and loudly told the traffic cop, "That's my husband."

The girl's voice was crisp and loud, cutting through the curtain of drizzle and reaching into the man's ears. The man slowly turned his head, noticing the girl pointing at him, his eyes as wide as saucers, clear like a pool of spring water.

The rain seemed to be getting heavier, and her T-shirt was soaked through, clinging to her skin, the color of the clothes inside clear and distinct, with each rib faintly visible.

A glimmer flashed in his eyes, and suddenly, Zhou Sicheng's voice rang out in his mind, "She seems to have run into some trouble, why don't you go help her out?"

Zhou Sicheng still spoke in a teasing tone; he didn't think Lan Mu would really go help, especially since he disliked Yan Zao so much. He didn't even appear at their wedding but instead showed up with a dog to humiliate Yan Zao.

That showed just how much he disliked Yan Zao.

The traffic cop had only been tough on Zhou Sicheng for a moment. With the rain pouring down and the road between them, the cop hadn't looked closely at Zhou Sicheng. But hearing Yan Zao calling out to her husband, the cop looked in the direction she was pointing and took a good look at the man in the passenger seat of the car across the street. He blinked in disbelief, rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't seeing things, and his eyes suddenly brightened.

He was very excited, "Isn't that... isn't that Lan Mu, the captain of LY?"

At that moment, the car's passenger window on the other side slowly rose, and the man's indifferent profile was thus concealed.

Yan Zao had anticipated this; he was Lan Mu, after all.

Seeing Lan Mu's indifferent manner, she simply wanted to provoke him, even if it meant he would frown with anger or his disdain towards her deepened; that would still be better than... having no impression of her in his heart at all.

To the traffic cop, Yan Zao was just one of Lan Mu's fangirls. An older cop, adopting the tone of an elder, scolded her, "You young ladies have utterly forgotten the modesty of our ancestors. You call any handsome celebrity you see 'husband.'"

They were in charge of this area's traffic order and had grown accustomed to the madness of fans.

A younger traffic cop beside him joked, "Our Goddess Sangsang has too many rivals."

LY once had a women's basketball team, and Yu Yesang was the captain. No one knew why, but the team was disbanded three years ago, and Yu Yesang switched to becoming a cheerleader, working behind the scenes to help Lan Mu. With her personal achievements and good looks, she captivated a large fan base.

She was dubbed the "Goddess of the Homebodies" by the people.

Hearing the name Yu Yesang, Yan Zao's expression darkened slightly. Her lips quirked into an almost imperceptible smile, and she lifted her eyelids to see the black car still there. She called out loudly, "Husband!"

The girl stood across the street, waving vigorously towards their side.

"Wow, she calls him quite affectionately and naturally," Zhou Sicheng observed with interest, looking towards Lan Mu. Lan Mu couldn't be bothered with him, raising his hand to pull his hat brim down lower, completely covering his face.
