Yan Zao walked and looked back, feeling a shadow of being chased. Only when she saw that Principal Yang hadn't caught up did she feel at ease.
The ice pop in her hand had mostly melted away, leaving just a little bit, really just a tiny bit, about the size of a fingernail, which she didn't let go to waste.
After she finished, she noticed Lan Mu looking at her with a look of disgust. She frowned and then rolled her eyes and turned her back on Lan Mu.
She continued to nibble at the last bit left on the stick.
Just after finishing and ready to throw the stick into the trash can, Lan Mu's voice floated from behind, "Don't you know that these kinds of ice pops are made with dirty water and saccharin?"
Yan Zao had heard too many rumors about food being unsanitary and unhealthy, and she simply didn't care. She tossed the stick into the trash can, turned around, and snorted at Lan Mu, "You talk as if you work at an ice pop factory."
She continued to walk forward.
