Yan Yuanjing laughed as he asked, "So you're afraid of Lan Mu? He just left a while ago and might come back if he forgot something."
Liu Xiaoqiang immediately put down his hand, confident in his reply, "I'm not afraid of him. What is there to be afraid of?"
His gaze shifted back to the yard to look at Yan Zao, raising his voice, "I just came to see if Lan Mu showed up. If he did, I'd help you chase him away. Now that he's not here, I can rest easy. Just make sure to lock the doors when you two are at home."
Then he turned and walked back.
Glancing back every three steps, Yan Yuanjing stood at the entrance of the yard like he was guarding against thieves, and instructed with a point, "Take good care of your sister."
Yan Yuanjing couldn't be bothered with him, pushing his bike into the yard, with Yan Zao waiting at the door for him. He parked his bicycle against the wall and then walked toward Yan Zao, asking, "Did you make up with Lan Mu?"
